Location, approachable host, breakfast

The location right in the midst of the old town and was fabulous and easily accessible on foot to all the main attractions. The staff were fantastic and each of the three managers were knowledgeable, informative and helpful beyond expectation which ensured our stay in Istanbul was memorable.

Perfect location to see all of the sights in Istanbul. The staff were lovely and very helpful with organising activities. They even provided a birthday present for one our guests who had a birthday during our stay. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend.

Great location, an easy 5min walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Felt very safe, clean and restaurants, shops etc are all right there. Breakfast was a really good selection and they also were great and catered for gluten free. Rooms were clean and tidy. Good amenities provided shower was a good big size. The staff stored our bags and helped us to book a taxi to our next destination. I also used the laundry service (paid) for it was quick and really good!

Very kind and helpful personnel, clean and nice rooms, wonderful kitchen, all these in the closest proximity of the Aya Sophia and Blue Mosques.

We had two bookings and one of them was upgraded, which we appreciated very much. We had asked for a paking place for our car and it turned out that a spot had been reserved right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient. We chose this hotel because of its proximity (short walking distance) to some of the old town attractions and it did not disappoint. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious, beds comfortable. Breakfast was quite adequate and satisfying.

If you want to stay close to most of the city’s historical landmarks, spend your days exploring on foot, and just use the hotel for a good night’s sleep, this is a great option. Tram and metro lines run near the hotel, making it easy to reach almost any part of the city. The staff are polite and always ready to help. Breakfast is tasty, and the menu changes daily. The Wi-Fi is fast and works flawlessly.

Amazing and picturesque location, 5 mins from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Reception is open 24/7 and there is a lift/elevator to get between floors. The staff are very friendly - Mahmoud and Rashid at the front desk were great. Breakfast runs from 8-10:30am and is included in the price. There is a nice variety of bread, cheeses, meats, eggs, baba ganoush, salad, jams, spreads, and cakes / pastries. The warm food includes sausages, chips, fried and boiled eggs, and chicken nuggets which were a great hit with kids. Theres also a coffee machine and tea. The rooms are lovely and very clean. Housekeeping do a great job cleaning everyday around midday. The rooms are pretty soundproof and the AC is nice and strong. The bathrooms have great water pressure and come with shower gel, shampoo, and soap wash. Lots of friendly cats on this street.

The Sultans Royal Hotel in Istanbul is located in the Old Town, making it easy to walk to the main sites. The hotel has air conditioning, a lift, and clean, comfortable rooms with adequate space for luggage. While staying in the Old Town is practical for sightseeing, there is a direct tram line to the European side, where hotels tend to be more modern and may offer facilities such as swimming pools, which would have been useful in the hot weather. This hotel does not have an outdoor seating area, though there are many nearby restaurants. Staff were helpful and attentive, and the hotel provided a suitable base for exploring the city.

Superb stay. Air con, good size room, good water.pressure, great brekkie. Location was fab - blue Mosque and grand Bazar were within walking distance.
