Location close to city and quiet, great value for room and breakfast. Superb breakfast in taste and choice.
The position of the property 10 minutes walk to where we needed to be
Very nice stay in a good location only a short walk to the harbour area.
Rooms over the pub nice and comfortable, breakfast was excellent and had evening meal in the pub which was delicious. Also fairly quiet and nice and warm with central heating on, nice compact en-suite shower etc. Also the pub gives you a parking permit which is helpful. Only a mile or so walk into the city which was nice.
location was spot on for my needs. Room was not large but had all necessary amenities. Breakfast in the morning was full English but you had options.

It is a boutique style choice in the heart of Bristol, built around its own contemporary food led pub. Guests walk into a lively ground floor where the kitchen and bar set an inviting tone for meals, drinks, and conversation, then ascend to the quiet rooms above. The hotel prides itself on a simple, well designed stay that keeps attention on location, value, and a friendly, personal service. Location and surroundings The Ashville is described as being close to the historic harbour in South Bristol. That waterfront proximity creates a distinct atmosphere for guests who want to explore the city by water and on foot. The harbour area around Bristol offers a mix of historic sights and modern waterfront vibes, providing a convenient backdrop for day trips and evening strolls. Free parking is not listed, but the property emphasizes easy access via ferry for visitors aiming to travel into central Bristol without relying on a car. The overall impression is one of a well connected, characterful base that makes it simple to pair sightseeing with a comfortable place to rest after a day of exploring. Rooms and comfort The Ashville offers a small, intimate experience with six rooms located above the pub. The rooms are described as stylish, designed to give guests a relaxed, contemporary space after a day of discovery. Photo highlights suggest comfortable beds, TV and multimedia options, and a practical setup that suits short breaks or longer city weekends. Some rooms feature air conditioning, an appreciated amenity in warmer months or for guests who prefer climate control inside their sleeping area. In addition, there are coffee and tea facilities on site as seen in the property photos, which adds a welcome touch for early risers and those who like a hot drink at any time of day. While the property does not advertise a separate wellness floor or gym, the quiet rooms above a lively pub provide a comfortable sanctuary where guests can unwind after evenings enjoying Bristol’s waterfront dining and entertainment. Food and beverage options A distinctive feature of The Ashville is its on site pub which serves as the focal point of the guest experience. The pub is described as contemporary and food led, offering a menu that complements the city’s vibrant dining scene. Guests can expect meals and drinks in a setting that blends casual comfort with a modern edge. The in house dining concept means you don’t need to travel far for dinner, and the bar atmosphere provides an easy backdrop for conversations and relaxation after a day of sightseeing. For those who enjoy a hot drink on arrival or late night caffeine, the coffee and tea facilities in the rooms add an extra layer of convenience. Family friendliness and activities With six rooms and a pub as the central hub, The Ashville offers a compact, personal experience that appeals to couples and small groups looking for a sociable stay with easy access to Bristol’s attractions. The harbour location invites gentle evening strolls and waterfront exploration, while the proximity to central Bristol makes it feasible to plan a day trip to famous sights and neighborhoods. Families seeking a larger hotel with a wide range of facilities may prefer more expansive options, but those who prize character, a friendly atmosphere, and a convenient base for city adventures will find this property well suited to a relaxed Bristol break. Relaxation, wellness, and entertainment The property’s strengths lie in its atmosphere and location rather than in a long list of leisure facilities. Free WiFi is available across the property, ensuring guests can stay connected for work or entertainment. The on site pub provides a lively, social environment that can be enjoyed for meals, drinks, and casual evenings without leaving the building. The harbour side setting contributes to a sense of calm in the evenings, and the short ferry ride to Bristol city centre offers opportunities for day trips and exploration without heavy travel planning. Guests benefit from a comfortable room to unwind and the option to socialize in the pub during evenings, which can be an enjoyable part of a city break if you appreciate a warm, social atmosphere. Who this hotel is ideal for The Ashville is ideal for travelers who value location, character, and value over a long list of facilities. It suits couples seeking a cosy city break, small groups looking for a sociable base with an on site dining option, and visitors who appreciate easy access to Bristol’s harbour and waterfront areas. For guests who want a stylish, intimate stay with a contemporary pub on site, and for those who welcome free WiFi and the convenience of a few thoughtful extras such as air conditioned rooms and coffee tea facilities, The Ashville offers a practical and appealing option.
