Guest Reviews
welcoming staff with a glass of bubbles next cozy bar area great room with a lovely view
Super friendly staff. We were shown to our rooms by a lovely young man who explained all the facilities of the hotel to us. The hotel is very close to restaurants, good retail outlets, theatre and good transport links. Although on a main road, the sound proofing was excellent. We didn’t hear a thing. Photos of the room online didn’t do it justice. We didn’t realise how large the suite would be, or that we had a large balcony with seating. I was extremely pleased to find a large deep bath, (a welcome luxury after sightseeing all day!) in addition to a larger than average shower in the en-suite. The room was very clean, the bedding beautiful. The ability to change the temperature of the room was also ideal.
Had read mixed reviews so expected the unusual layout of the hotel, but the initial welcome overcomes all of that and in fact the route to your room with a member of staff becomes a really interesting tour. All the staff are very welcoming and the Scottish breakfast is exceptional. The room was bright and a great size. The bed turned away from the window seems to aid sleep as do the fabulous pillows
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet room.
Nice hotel in a good location
Fabulous location, lovely staff and very nice room
Excellent location, great staff, and comfortable rooms. Easy walking to the Scott statue and other places to visit. Also, a small mall is nearby. The mall has two pharmacies. Concierge David gave us excellent recommendations for a hop-on, hop-off bus with live English narration. He also recommended that we take a full trip around, then get off at the first place that interested us. We got off at the National Museum.
We had the Scottish breakfast this morning. It included black pudding and Haggis. The hotel is on the site of a fromer church. They saved the Facade and built the hotel behind that. It is modern. Breakfast is included if you are a guest. The staff is excellent. David (white hair) was great.

Room and location
The reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
Lovely boutique hotel, right next door to the playhouse & omni centre. Great room with a huge comfy bed. Complimentary juices, water & nespresso coffee pods. Lovely bathroom with robe, slippers & Elemis toiletries. Had a luxury feel to the room & hotel. Staff were amazing, especially the guy who showed me to my room. I was surprised when I discovered the garden and seating area outside my room, which was lovely.
Good regular room servicing
Nice room good location
Our room was spacious and had an outdoor terrace. The bar area and rooftop courtyard are great. We stayed there twice on the same trip and The air conditioning in our room was not working either time. The first visit when the temp was lower was not too bad. The second trip was miserable and we asked to be moved to another room after several attempts to fix the cooling.
