The Meretto Hotel Istanbul Old City

So we stayed with my family there: for a weeks (parents) and for 9 days (me). 2 rooms. LOCATION/ROOMS: location was comfortable and safe I would say. Basic supermarket (Jet) is close. Cleaning of the rooms were apropriate. Also in general quite (but ofc it's up to tourists, maybe we were lucky). TRANSPORTATION: the Hotel is really close (~8 mins walk) from Aksaray, so it's really comfortable to take HVL-1 to get to the airport and back. T1 tram's stop is right under the Hotel, very comfortable. The metro stops are also close, but you can reach Grand bazar, Sultanahmet and Ayasofiya mosques by foot (if you can ofc :) ) Besides that once we asked for transfer (it was for 4am) and it was a good expirience. Road to IST at night took about 40 mins, we departured in time, payment in hotel by cash prior departure, the car was kinda minivan for 6 people (comfortable) and they also offered sandwiches to take with us (as it was early morning). FOOD: Breakfast was also good. As people say not really much changes from day to day (important for a long stay), but everything prepared (looks same as on pictures) was good (special thanks to amazing chocolate brownie and acma). Also there are many places to eat outside in a walking distance (we just googled the rationg prior visiting, and it was corresponding with reviews). STAFF: The staff was super friendly. For any questions they would help andit really feels like they'relooking t help you. They speak both Englsh and Russian (at last one guy at reception could speak Russian very good, butin the other shift there were people who culd t least undestand Russian, itwas usefull for my parents, that don't speak English).

Location, friendly & affable staffs as well as great neighbourhood. It's close to a self service laundry, airport bus stop and various shops. Had a really good time there.

Great hotel, rooms good size, comfortable, clean and bathroom worked perfectly. Great air con too.

Location is close to tram station, easy to find. Staff are all extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The room provides you enough amenities for your stay

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire staff for their exceptional attentiveness and politeness. We were pleasantly surprised that the staff speaks Russian, which made our stay even more comfortable. A special thank you to Aziz, who is simply wonderful - a very kind and pleasant young man. Also, Abdo was very sweet and nice. They were always attentive to all our requests. We felt right at home and will definitely be coming back!

The breakfast was excellent and very varied. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist. The location is perfect, well connected to everything and with easy access to public transport.

The shower in room 304 was the best I’ve ever had in terms of how strong the water flow was. They serviced the room every day and gave you freshwater every day , and slippers every day if you required them. Staff were very polite and always greeted you warmly. I was particularly impressed when after the taxi dropped me off to the wrong Meretto hotel (there are two of them) at 11 pm on my first night, the owner himself walked my bank across to their sister Hotel which was five minutes away. I was very tired from travelling so this was very much appreciated .

The staff was very helpful and the service was top quality. I'd like to thank especially Abdou for all the time we spent in the hotel.

The location of the hotel is so great and the tram station is almost 3 minutes walk. Many other attractions are very close as well like the grand bazar, Yosuf bash’s street and Mahmoud basha bazar. The room was so clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff are exceptional specially Mr Abdo who did his best to help us every single minute we were in the hotel. No words can explain how much we were satisfied with your help and kindness. Mr Abdo deserve the best. The breakfast was also so good with a lot of choices. We got water bottles every day in the fridge even the staff cleaning is amazing. Meretto Hotel have a great location and a value for the price and we promise to come back again.

Great location, comfortable beds and clean rooms. Breakfast selection was nice. Fresh fruits, cheeses and more.

The location of the hotel is great (Hagia Sophia is a 30 min walk & the tram and many other attractions are very close), the room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the kind staff is exceptional. Our flight was delayed a lot, but they were waiting for us with a smile in the middle of the night. The breakfasts were also amazing and we got water every day in our room fridge. Overall, Meretto Hotel is a great value for the price and I would be happy to stay here again.
