This was such a beautiful property. The staff was absolutely the nicest. Upon arriving in the middle of the night from a late flight, the hotel staff was waiting for us at the road to take our luggage, greet us and guide us to the hotel. The rooms were beautiful, clean and just a gem. A must stay for anyone wanting to be within steps of all the beautiful landmarks. Thank you

Rebekah 10.0

The man at the front desk as incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeted us every time we entered/exited! The location was perfect, close to all attractions and an enjoyable walk to other locations, including tram stop. Rooms comfortable size, not large but fine for 2 people! Breakfast was great too!

Amanda 9.0

The location is excellent.

Stephen 8.0

Staff were great - apart from one: the young lady in the breakfast room who never smiled nor said 'hello' or 'good morning' nor 'can I help you?' Location was great - 200/300 yards from the main sights in the old town (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Cistern) Room was big enough, bed was big and comfortable, bathroom was good, shower powerful, wi-fi worked without problem, room was spotlessly clean and towels changed every day. Tram stop was close by (which took you down to the ferry pier and the Galata bridge)

Great location, clean

Giada 8.0

Amazing location in the center of the historic center. Great value and friendly staff.

Y 8.0

The hotel is very well located, just a 2-minute walk from the Hagia Sophia and the main square, which was the main reason we booked this stay. We had a room in the basement with no view at all, but the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. After check-out, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel, which was helpful. However, the bags were placed in a general public area, so be cautious and don’t leave valuables inside.

Joe 9.0

Location excellent. Very comfortable although room was compact.

Amer 8.0

Great location, clean, nice breakfast. Room was a bit on a small side, definitely smaller than the photos. Facilties where clean but allso smal. I think the location more than makes up for all the small annoyances. Staff was allso wery friendly and helpful.

An absolutely gorgeous hotel situated in the tourist hub (super close to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi Palace). The room was gorgeous and very quiet!

Nestled in the heart of Istanbul’s historic district, The Million Stone Hotel sits beside the Basilica Cistern and offers a true city center stay in Sultanahmet. This boutique property is crafted for travelers who want to absorb centuries of history without sacrificing modern comfort. With a compact footprint of only 15 rooms, the hotel provides an intimate atmosphere where attention to detail and personal service can shine. The location is a major draw for guests who value easy access to the city’s most iconic sights, convenient walking routes, and the convenience of staying where the past feels present in every street and doorway. From the moment you arrive, the surrounding area invites exploration. The Sultanahmet neighborhood is renowned for its historic ambiance, and staying here places you within reach of major landmarks, atmospheric lanes, and a rich array of cafés and eateries. The hotel’s central placement makes day trips by foot simple and enjoyable, letting you plan early morning excursions and lazy afternoons without long transfers. The neighborhood character is vibrant, yet the building itself has a refined interior that balances comfort with a sense of understated luxury. Wellness and relaxation anchor the on site experience. The Million Stone Hotel highlights a sauna as part of its modern amenities, and the presence of a spa and wellness concept is evident in the design and the services visible in the guest experience. This focus on well being offers a restful contrast to long days of sightseeing, giving travelers a dedicated space to unwind after a day of walking through ancient lanes. While the property emphasizes wellness facilities, it remains grounded in its urban setting and does not position itself as a resort style destination. The rooms at The Million Stone Hotel emphasize comfort and contemporary style. Described as luxurious and equipped with modern amenities, the accommodations are designed to feel both relaxing and visually appealing after a day of exploration. The property’s boutique character is reinforced by its small scale and carefully curated interiors, which often feature thoughtful touches that enhance the stay. The beds and bathrooms in the collection of rooms are portrayed in the imagery as inviting and well appointed, with a focus on providing restful nights and practical, well organized spaces for travelers who value quality sleep and easy maintenance. Guest comfort is complemented by a straightforward approach to dining. On site dining options are part of the overall experience, including a buffet style breakfast that helps guests start the day on the right note. The presence of a restaurant and the option for a lounge or bar contribute to a relaxed, sociable setting where conversations can begin over coffee in the morning or a light dinner or drink later in the day. The culinary offerings are designed to support a thoughtful city break, providing convenient meal solutions that keep you energized for a day of discovery. Families and travelers with children will find a practical and flexible policy framework designed to accommodate different needs. The hotel openly welcomes children of any age, and the property notes that the maximum occupancy is three guests per room. Various cot and bed options are subject to availability, and in some cases there are costs associated with children and beds that guests book in advance. For families using existing beds, a number of age based guidelines apply, including free options for younger children when using available cots or existing beds, and reasonable per night charges for older children when sharing existing beds. These policies help families plan their stay with clarity and avoid unwelcome surprises at check in or during the reservation process. In short, The Million Stone Hotel is ideal for travelers who want to immerse themselves in Istanbul’s historic core while enjoying modern comfort, wellness oriented moments, and easy access to the city’s architectural and cultural highlights. It suits history lovers who appreciate a central base from which to wander ancient streets, couples seeking a refined city break with a touch of spa style, and families that value flexible arrangements and thoughtful details. If you are looking for a compact, character filled home in Sultanahmet with immediate access to Basilica Cistern and the surrounding old town, this hotel offers a compelling combination of location, comfort, and relaxed sophistication. The property appeals to guests who want to balance sightseeing with restful downtime in a stylish, intimate setting, and who value clear policies, reliable WiFi, and on site dining that supports a smart, well planned itinerary. The Million Stone Hotel is therefore an excellent choice for those who place location at the top of their priority list and who wish to experience Istanbul with ease, style, and a touch of wellness between historic discoveries.
