Guest Reviews
Room is lovely, much better than in the photos. Breakfast was ideal, just help yourself. We had 2 dogs with us and the field behind the property was perfect for a run. Good location on the edge of Bristol.
We were all able to sleep there in our separate bedrooms and the best part was we were able to socialise in the lounge, kitchen, breakfast room. Excellent experience for us as an extended family.
Extremely friendly and very kind considerate hosts!!
Everything

Lovely place to stay ideal location just a short drive from where I needed to be, plenty of local amenities very clean rooms and good choice for continental breakfast, fuss free and have it when you want.

location and the welcome was spot on
A lovely welcome and a very comfortable bed. Good to be able to help myself to a continental breakfast.
Hosts were amazing, went above what was expected during my stay. Can't say enough thank you's. Exceptional breakfast choice, comfortable room and bed, and it just felt like home. 😍 Definitely recommend
Breakfast was good and being able to get breakfast early in the morning was a bonus. On Saturday morning there was only one tea bag left. Andy was very helpful and friendly on booking in.
Friendly and helpful host. The buffet continental style breakfast was good. Good location without being in the city centre. Nearby pubs were great for evening meals. Being dog friendly with a big field behind the property was excellent for us.
Breakfast was a continental style one where you could help yourself and there was certainly lots of choices available. Location wise it was about 5 minutes in the car to the motorway and had a bus stop outside if you needed public transport
As you can see from my last few reviews, I’ve been staying at the Old Star every week for several months now. I keep coming back and would happily recommend it for several reasons: - A lovely owner who really looks after you and makes an effort - Efficient, flexible check in and check out, great if you want to come and go quickly without hassle - An EV charger, which is very useful for me, with costs kept moderate and simply passed through - A quick self serve breakfast that’s perfect if you want to get going early in the morning - Comfortable, clean rooms, I always sleep well and the beds are excellent
Wonderful place to stay with a great hostess
Very comfy and great location
Clean and tidy bedroom and eating area for breakfast. Large range of continental breakfast items. Quiet and easy to find. Host was very friendly and helpful.
Booked on the day to be close to my granddaughters birthday party. Would definitely recommend it. Karen was really helpful with the booking.
Cute building with unique features and nice and friendly host. Easy to get early breakfast for a quick getaway.
The room was clean & comfortable with all the facilities we needed. The owners were friendly and very helpful.
