My mum and stepdad loved their night away. The accommodation was amazing and the breakfast was beautiful they were so impressed they booked before they left to come again. They also said the Hostess was welcoming and friendly
Karen was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was great, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious
Amazing attention to every detail by Karen. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!!
Liked it all. Close enough to walk to the seafront and town. Lovely place kept really clean with a very welcoming host. Great breakfast both mornings. Couldn’t have asked for a better place.
Everything about the stay Karen most wonderful host so warm and welcoming from start to finish nothing to much trouble
On arrival, Karen was warm and welcoming and straight away we felt very at home. As there was only us and another couple we were offered an upgrade of our room. Both rooms however were spotlessly clean, a great size and presented lovely, we did though accept the bigger room. The villa is beautifully decorated and thought out throughout. The breakfast was delicious, so much to choose from, all very fresh and made on time to your chosen time slot. Nothing was too much trouble and we would highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely book here again. Thank you Karen for a comfortable and enjoyable 2 night stay.
Everything was perfect and Karen is a lovely lady couldn't do enough to make you feel comfortable.
Lovely B&B with parking & in a central position. Karen was very welcoming & friendly. Breakfast was brilliant, for both myself & my partner who is vegetarian. Our room was lovely with a four poster bed, everything was very clean & comfortable. Karen was particularly kind by making my breakfast later than normal timings so I could do a Park run - thank you. We had a super couple of days despite the rain & hope to return.
Very nice clean room and hotel. Karen a very friendly personable host. Great breakfast. Nothing seemed too much trouble
Good location on the outskirts of town but easy enough to walk in
Excellent accommodation and super lovely owner who couldn’t do enough
The location was what we wanted, and the breakfast was tremendous, with every option of fruit, cereal, cold and hot traditional and continental.
Karen is exceptional.

The quiet street and traditional exterior create first impressions of charm and character that carry through to the interior spaces. Inside, guests discover a pace of life that suits restful breaks. The villa offers comfortable, thoughtfully arranged rooms that strike a balance between period style and everyday practicality. Shared spaces are a highlight, including a communal lounge and TV room where guests can unwind with a book, a movie, or a chat with fellow travelers. A dedicated dining area provides a relaxed setting for meals, and the presence of a game room adds a playful option for evenings in. Public areas feel bright and inviting, with natural light, well kept furnishings, and an emphasis on comfort and ease after a day of sightseeing. The hotel showcases breakfast options that include English or Irish styles, offering a satisfying start to busy days of exploration. The on site ambiance is enhanced by the opportunity to enjoy a casual drink in the common areas, with non alcoholic options commonly available in the lounge spaces. Even when you choose to dine in your room, the welcoming atmosphere of the house makes every meal feel relaxed and homely. The property places a clear emphasis on family friendliness and adult oriented experiences. Policy details clarify that children older than 14 years are welcome, which frames the experience for guests seeking a quiet, adults only vibe. This makes The Southbourne Villa a perfect choice for couples seeking a peaceful escape or small groups of adults looking for a refined, low key base. The presence of a game room and a communal lounge adds to the sense of sociable, low key entertainment without compromising the tranquil character of the property. Relaxation and wellness are woven into the guest experience through the villa’s calm environment and well designed common areas. The garden spaces provide a refreshing outdoor option for sunlit mornings or lazy afternoons, while the interior lounges offer comfortable places to unwind after a day by the coast.
