Everything about this hotel is perfect. The location and daily cleaning of the room were great but the thing that really sets this hotel apart from the rest is the personal touch and the genuine warmth of the staff who cannot do enough for you. They are outstanding and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for the most perfect Istanbul experience. Thank you to everyone at The Story Hotel Pera- you were the best and I will definitely be returning.

Loved the Story hotel. Amazing location and vibe and proximity to great restaurants (much better than over the Bosphorus). Thank you for the upgrade! Great transport links via metro and 10mins walk to tram. Was here 7 nights and easily enough to do and see. The room was exceptional, staff excellent. Thank you. Location is excellent, just off the main shopping street Istiklal and easy walk to Taksim Square, Galata Tower or tram to historic district. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice comfortable room.

This hotel probably has one of the best locations — right in Taksim, close to great restaurants and the Galata Tower. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

First, our greeting was extremely warm. We were helped with our luggage and even given an upgrade. The room was very comfortable, clean, a great location, and a good value—a ten in every category. But I was most impressed by the sincere care and friendliness of the staff.

We really appreciated the very helpful and friendly service of the desk personnel upon checking in and checking out. With perfect English, they upgraded our room, carried bags, advised us about local dining, advised us which international airport to take an Uber to upon checkout, and advised about catching the Uber upon checkout. It was a real pleasure and confidence-builder dealing with them.

Our room was upgraded and had a little kitchenette area and it made our trip. We were there five nights and the room was a homebase for our Istanbul adventures. This place is close to the tram, close to the metro and not too far from the port. There were shops an cute coffee shops in every direction.

This hotel has a superb location off Istiklal street. Just a few steps from the door and you're in the heart of the modern city; plenty of shops, bars and restaurants are on your doorstep. You can walk to the Sultanahmet area in about 40 minutes - it’s a pleasant and interesting walk across the Galata bridge and into old Istanbul. We visited all the major sights (Galata Tower, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar, Haigha Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Suleiman Magnificent complex, Hippodrome) on foot from the hotel. However there are tram stations nearby if you want to use these. The hotel is lovely. Big room, comfortable bed and very clean. The staff are amazing - they were so helpful throughout our visit with advice on travel, shopping and where to eat. I will be staying here again on my next visit.

Hotel is very good located, just few steps from Istiklal street and Sishane metro station so we could easily get everywhere we wanted. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable with two types of pillows. Room was spacious. Staff is very kind and we got lot of useful tips for our stay in Istanbul. We would come back again.

Very comfortable room, spacious, comfy beds. Good shower. Location right next to main shopping and food street was perfect. Staff were just brilliant- intelligent, knowledgeable, fascinating for a good chat about Istanbul and its features including managing water for 18 million people. They made my stay there wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble.

The only deficiency of the Hotel is a lack of a restaurant. However, within 200m is all you will ever need in the way of food and bars, with huge diversity. However, it is the staff and communication benefits of the Hotel which is the "Story". Communications over two stays in arranging a driver from airport, emergency laundry, arranging a dinner cruise on the Bosphorus which is the huge value add. Another example - with the Hotel being somewhat distant from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque,etc, Afuk, a member of the reception team personally showed me how to access the excellent local underground cable car and connecting tram transport system. It was a breeze to use and low cost to move back and forth between the Hotel and these main attractions and other.

Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms. Staff super nice. Gave great local recommendations for food and local sites.
