Murak and Mertcan were great to us. They made sure we had the best time possible in Istanbul. They made us feel home. Mertcan helped us set up dinner cruise and hamman. He also suggested places to shop. Location is walking distance from Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern. Lots of good restaurants around the area. Super safe!

About This Hotel

Turk Art Hotel sits in the heart of Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet district, a jewel of an old Ottoman mansion that preserves a sense of timeless elegance. From the moment you arrive, the building’s character is evident in its compact, intimate scale and the quiet dignity of its rooms. The listing highlights panoramic views over the historic area and a short, enjoyable walk to the Blue Mosque. Inside, the atmosphere blends a sense of heritage with modern comfort, delivering a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The property is intentionally small with nine rooms, which helps create a focused, personalised experience for every guest. Location and surroundings help define the Turk Art Hotel experience. The property sits in the historic core of Istanbul, with the address listed as Cankurtaran Mah. Tevkifhane Sok. No:12 Sultanahmet. This neighbourhood exudes old city charm with narrow lanes, centuries of architecture, and mosques that frame your day of exploration. Guests appreciate the convenience of walking to major sights and the authentic atmosphere of a hotel that feels connected to the city’s living history. The hotel’s compact, intimate scale encourages a calmer pace after busy days spent wandering through Istanbul’s iconic streets and markets. This listing does not promote beach or resort style amenities. Instead, it emphasizes a central city experience focused on culture, historic surroundings, and easy access to exploration on foot. If your dream vacation is built around sea days and resort facilities, this property belongs to a different type of itinerary. For travelers drawn to UNESCO level architecture, atmospheric courtyards, and the buzz of a world city just outside the door, Turk Art Hotel offers a compelling base in one of Istanbul’s most storied districts. Rooms and comfort form the core of the guest experience. The nine rooms are described as cosy and comfortable, reflecting the historic charm of an Ottoman mansion while delivering practical modern comfort. Although the listing does not detail specific renovations, the property presents a refined space where traditional furnishings meet everyday usability. Expect pleasant bedding, clean lines, and a design that quietly respects the building’s heritage. For guests who rely on digital connectivity, free wireless internet access is available, aligning with the needs of modern travelers who want to plan days online, share experiences, or stay connected while away from home. Food and beverage options are straightforward and convenient. Breakfast is included with every stay, providing a reliable start to busy itineraries that begin with early visits to the city’s legendary monuments. The information available does not mention an on-site restaurant or bar, so guests should plan for meals outside the hotel. The inclusion of breakfast is a clear value, especially for travelers who want to maximize time outside the property and minimize morning arrangements. The Istanbul location itself lends plentiful dining options within walking distance, so you can tailor each day to your preferred pace and tastes. Family friendliness and activities are clearly outlined in the hotel policies. The Turk Art Hotel welcomes children of any age, and the property maintains a maximum occupancy of two guests per room. There are guidelines for cots and extra beds based on availability, with one cot allowed per room and a maximum of one extra bed. For families with younger children, one child up to two years old can stay free when using a cot, and one child up to 12 years old can stay free when using existing beds. For additional guests, an adult can stay at 50 percent of the adult rate when using available extra beds. These policies highlight flexibility for small families and couples who want to travel together without sacrificing comfort or the sense of a home away from home. Wellness, relaxation, and entertainment within the property are not detailed in the listing, which focuses on location, charm, and practical comforts. However, the hotel’s central setting in Sultanahmet places guests close to Istanbul’s rich cultural life, historic mosques, and atmospheric streets that invite daytime wandering and evening strolls. After a day of sightseeing, the quiet, intimate atmosphere of the Ottoman mansion offers a peaceful place to unwind and reflect on the day’s discoveries. There is a sense of thoughtful hospitality in the way the space is described, suggesting a calm retreat after busy city explorations. Who this hotel is ideal for is clear from its design and location. It appeals to couples seeking a culturally rich city break in a historic setting with easy access to major sights. It is also a strong choice for small families or friends who want to stay in a compact, charming property where breakfast is included and connectivity is reliable. The nine-room scale supports a personal, attentive service that can feel far removed from large chain hotels, while still delivering the essential comforts needed for a comfortable stay. In short, Turk Art Hotel is an excellent base for travelers who want to inhabit Istanbul’s most famous district, soak in its history, and conveniently explore the city on foot while enjoying a cosy, well located home away from home.
