For two to three hours on a modern boat departing from Eminönü, you see Istanbul's most famous landmarks from the water, and if you choose, you go ashore in Beylerbeyi for breakfast or lunch.

What you will see along the way

As the boat glides under the Bosphorus bridges, you pass Galata Bridge, Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, Rumeli Fortress and the Maiden's Tower. The skyline of the historic peninsula, with Topkapı Palace and the Süleymaniye Mosque, makes every moment a photo opportunity.

The Asian side stop and meal

With this option, the boat stops for about an hour in charming Beylerbeyi on the Asian side. You can stroll around the neighbourhood, take photos and enjoy your fixed-menu meal. The breakfast plate has tea, eggs, assorted cheeses, honey, jam, butter, olives and sausage; the lunch menu is soup, salad, rice, sautéed meat and dessert. The stop is only available on the 10:00 and 13:15 departures.

Comfort and commentary

There is Wi-Fi on board and all fees and taxes are included. English and Russian-speaking guides give commentary throughout. Drinks and hotel pickup are not included; the departure point in Eminönü is easy to reach by public transport.

Practical tips

If you want the meal option, make sure you choose the 10:00 or 13:15 departure. Infants sit on an adult's lap and pushchairs can be used on board. The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
