RHS Hilltop

The new RHS Hilltop is the Home of Gardening Science, dedicated to inspiring the next generation of gardeners. See the vital work being done to help future-proof the planet and learn about the RHS's ground-breaking research.

The gardens

Enjoy fruit and vegetables of all shapes and sizes in the World Food Garden, sit and reflect in the Wellbeing Garden or spot insects by the water in the Wildlife Garden. Race up Battleston Hill, breathe in the scents of the Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden or gaze up in wonder in the tropical Glasshouse. The gardens delight in every season: bulbs and blossom in spring, mixed borders and roses in summer, bountiful colours in autumn and frost-sparkled walks in winter.

Good to know

The garden suits all fitness levels; it is wheelchair- and pushchair-accessible, service animals are welcome and there are public transport links nearby. Food, drink and an audio guide are not included.

How booking works

Choose your date and number of guests and send your request; at this stage we only place a hold on your card. We check availability with the operator, email you when we confirm and take the payment at that point. If the request cannot be fulfilled, we email you and your card is not charged.
