The Crescent York

Gorgeous. Stunning, absolutely beautiful Georgian guest house. Incredible location. Lovely facilities, so so cosy. The staff is wonderful, Mo is an absolute treasure. Extremely helpful and welcoming :) definitely will come again, cannot wait to be back.

Mo was very accommodating! cooked moroccan meals for my partner and I, made sure we had everything we needed, allowed access to cook in the kitchen, washed our clothes and folded them.

The Crescent was fabulous! 😁 The hosts were friendly and the place was welcoming. We travelled with our whippet - with no trouble.

Really friendly owner and very close to the City Centre. Voucher for Moroccan restaurant too.

Proximity to central York. The staff was very helpful.

Did not have any breakfast. Room was excellent and very clean. The guys that ran it, were very helpful. Help with our luggage down and up the steps. Gave us a map to York and very helpful with that. Call us a taxi when we needed one and offered us tea and biscuits while we waited for the taxi. Very gracious. We will stay there again.

Excellent hotel, allowed early check in, met us when arrived, carried bags, room was clean, coffee machine, iron, hairdryer etc. location fab for the city centre. Will be staying again for the Christmas market 10/10

Brilliant hosts. Very welcoming and helped us with a map where to go and what to do. The room was very clean. Very comfortable bed. Amenities were clean. Not too far from the centre. We will stay again and will recommend The Crescent York to everyone

The Guest House is in a fantastic location with about 10 mins walk to the centre of York and about 10-15 mins from the train station. The host/owner Mo is just awesome. Nothing was ever any trouble for him. He ensured everything was done instantly and supported us throughout our stay. Parking is a well known issue in the centre of York so Mo allowed us to park our car in the backyard of the property. Even on the day of our departure, we were able to leave the car for several hours after the check out, for which I was extremely grateful. Mo also told us about a gorgeous bakery literally next door to the Guest House. We tried it and it was fantastic. In addition, we were able to bring the items purchased in the bakery back to the Guest House and use a very convenient and comfortable kitchen/dining area fully kitted with fridge, tea and coffee making facilities (including tea, coffee,milk) and everything else you might need to have good quality time with your family.

Great place close to the City Center, just less than 10 min for Minster, they have a small cafe outside to buy with good prices than in the city center. The personal is really nice. My room was the biggest I stayed in a hotel/guess house and with a lot of goods inside.

The manager and owner Mo could not have been more hospitable. The room was elegantly decorated with every available nod con, including a coffee machine, electric heater, TV and bath in the en suite. Excellent value for money and only the shortest stroll into York. Stunning outdoor garden and smoking area and kitchen for use by all residents. I would highly recommend this charming guesthouse where the staff really cannot do enough for visitors. 10/10 highly recommended.

We had a friendly welcome from the owner who was very knowledgable about the local area. The room was clean and very comfortable. It was a 5 minute walk into the city centre which was ideal for us. I would recommend staying at this guest house.

Location was great for walking to main attractions. Friendly, felt safe. Quiet location, light traffic noise.

The host was warm, welcoming and very friendly. He carried my case to my room which on the top floor. The place was close to all the attractions of York. The room was cozy and bed comfortable.
