Those running it were a lovely couple and would highly recommend it. The room was perfect. The breakfast was amazing.
Quiet location, free parking, only a short bus ride from the hustle and bustle of Brighton and the most wonderful hosts.
The B&B is situated in a quiet street, not far from the sea and not far from a bus stop. The room was comfortable and clean.

Our stay was great with a very warm welcome from the owners. The room was so clean, comfortable, and bright, and the breakfast was so good. Thank you for your hospitality.
The owners were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean. On street free parking was useful for us and the very regular bus service into Brighton was great.
Fantastic hospitality in a great location
On arrival a very warm welcome and everything we needed to know was made clear to us There were two chairs in our room at the coffee table plenty of tea and coffee + milk no biscuits but we always take our own anyway A small balcony outside sliding glass door to access it Comfortable bed and en suite shower room
Very good location, very friendly host, good breakfast.
Rob and Jackie were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Great value for money.
Very spacious and comfortable
A beautiful experience
A quiet location in a residential street but there is a bus stop at the bottom of the road for easy access into Brighton. Lovely hosts who made me feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Rom was very clean, tea and coffee was plentiful short walk t o bottom of roader bus to Brighton or walk along cliffs
The view on the balcony of our room was beautiful especially at night with the stars out and the bed was very comfortable. Perfect place to stay for visits to Brighton or just long walks along the cliffs and sea! Even in crazy winds. This B&B is different to most and you know what I think it is a good thing. Both owners were very helpful when asked anything at all.
Nice quite area, lovely people, beautiful room

About This Hotel
Telscombe Cliffs Bed and Breakfast sits in Rottingdean, a quiet coastal village that feels a world away from the bustle of the city while remaining just a short drive from Brighton. The setting welcomes guests with a peaceful residential tone and the breeze of the sea nearby, making it an ideal base for lovers of the coast who want easy access to the pleasures of both a traditional seaside town and a vibrant south coast city. Outdoor seating is available at the property, inviting relaxed mornings or sunset moments with a view of the neighbourhood. The address is 21 Ambleside Avenue, BN10 7LS, and the location is well placed for guests who want to walk to the shore or explore the local streets. Rottingdean Beach is about 1.8 miles away, offering a simple seaside outing, while the more expansive Brighton Marina lies 4.3 miles to the west. If you are drawn to Brighton’s cultural and historic highlights, the famed Pier is around 5.9 miles away and venues such as the Dome and Victoria Gardens are within about 6 miles. The area combines coastal leisure with convenient access to central Brighton shopping, dining, and entertainment. Inside, each guest room comes with practical comforts that matter on a city break or a seaside retreat. Every unit includes a desk and a flat screen TV, creating a comfortable workspace or a relaxing corner after a day of exploring. A kettle is provided for hot drinks, and your private bathroom ensures privacy and convenience. Free WiFi is available in all rooms, letting guests stay connected, plan day trips, or stream favorite shows in the comfort of their room. Some rooms enjoy a terrace, while others offer garden views, adding a touch of nature to your stay. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided as part of the standard in-room amenities, contributing to a tidy, welcoming atmosphere. For guests arriving by car, a car rental service is available on site, and free public parking nearby offers a practical option for exploring the region without worrying about parking costs. The listing also notes nearby shopping and entertainment venues, including Churchill Square Shopping Centre and The Brighton Centre, both within a short drive, presenting choices for meals, shopping and an evening out after a day on the coast. The property does not list on-site dining details, which means expectations should be set for room amenities rather than a formal hotel restaurant. Rooms include a private bathroom and essential comforts, and guests can explore local eateries in Rottingdean and nearby Brighton for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bed and breakfast concept focuses on a simple, cosy stay with the flexibility to make the day your own, whether you begin with a seaside walk, a morning coffee on a terrace, or a drive to explore the many coastal sights the area offers. Pricing and occupancy are clearly outlined in the policies. The maximum number of guests per room is two, and there is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Children older than five years are welcome, but the option to add a cot or extra bed is not available. This makes the property a strong choice for couples seeking a quiet coastal stay or travelers who prefer a compact, well-equipped base that is easy to reach from Brighton and the surrounding towns. WiFi is free across the property, which is a notable convenience for planning day trips, streaming entertainment, or staying connected while you travel. Check-in times run from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and check-out is flexible between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. This arrangement supports early departures to catch a morning train or late arrivals after a day of sightseeing, while still offering a full day on the coast if your plans permit. For guests who arrive by car, the nearby parking option helps remove a common travel stress factor, and the presence of a car rental service on site provides an extra layer of convenience for those looking to explore beyond Rottingdean and Brighton. This bed and breakfast is ideal for travelers who value location, simplicity, and personal service. It suits couples seeking a peaceful coastal escape, friends who want a short ride to the Brighton scene, and visitors who appreciate a clean, well-equipped space with easy access to beaches, seaside attractions, and city amenities. If you want a straightforward, comfortable stay with friendly, responsive service and a convenient base from which to discover the Sussex coast, Telscombe Cliffs Bed and Breakfast offers a thoughtful, approachable option that keeps you close to the sea and the heart of Brighton’s cultural pull.
