About This Hotel

Perched on Blackpool’s iconic promenade, the Viking Hotel offers a straightforward seaside base with the sights and sounds of the coast right outside the door. The property sits within easy reach of the town’s attractions, and the location puts you in the heart of the resort’s energy while preserving a relaxed pace for evenings in. From quiet morning walks along the shoreline to sunsets over the water, this hotel combines a lively location with comfortable accommodation. Two well known Blackpool landmarks sit just across the street: South Pier and Sandcastle Waterworld. That proximity makes a day on the coast simple and enjoyable, whether you are planning a couple of hours by the water or a longer seaside escape. You can stroll along the promenade to enjoy fresh air and salty breezes, then return to the Viking for a drink in the lounge after a busy day. For those who want more leisure, the Viking’s sister property, The Cliffs, offers additional facilities for free while you stay here, not during All Inclusive breaks. On site parking is free, a practical perk for travelers who arrive by car. Check in is from 3 pm and check out by 10:30 am, a rhythm that suits day trips and lazy mornings alike. The hotel offers easy access to the seafront, and the surrounding area provides options for entertainment and dining within easy reach. With 80 rooms, the Viking provides a compact yet comfortable guest experience. The property reads as a clean, well maintained base for a coast break. Bedrooms look inviting in the gallery, with beds and living areas designed to help guests unwind after a day by the water. While this data set does not include detailed renovation notes, the overall impression is of practical comfort and a simple, contemporary style that suits short breaks and weekend getaways. Dining centers around buffet breakfast, a reliable option that many guests appreciate for value and variety. The on site dining options include a restaurant and a lounge area where guests can enjoy meals and drinks in a relaxed setting. Several photos highlight coffee and tea facilities in rooms and a welcoming lounge or bar environment. In addition to the buffet, the breakfast and dining gallery shows English and Irish breakfast options, indicating a flexible approach to morning meals. This is an adults only property, with a clear policy that children are not allowed. The maximum occupancy per room is two and there is no capacity for extra beds or cots, which reinforces a calm, couples oriented atmosphere. WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge, and guests can expect practical, no fuss amenities that support a comfortable stay. The surrounding area includes the classic Blackpool pleasures such as piers and lively nightlife options, which can suit travelers who want social evenings without needing a family oriented base. The Viking places a focus on social relaxation with a lounge bar on site and a range of entertainment options both on site and at the nearby sister property. While the data does not detail a dedicated wellness centre, guests can easily balance days on the beach with evenings by the sea front and in the hotel lounge. The combination of sea views, convenient parking, and a straightforward, friendly atmosphere has earned positive feedback from guests and makes this a dependable choice for short coastal breaks. Who is this hotel ideal for? It suits adults and couples seeking a lively yet relaxed Blackpool stay, particularly those who want to be near the water, close to attractions, and comfortable with a straightforward, value oriented base. If you plan a seaside break with friends or a romantic escape and are happy to explore the coastline from a central location, this property is a strong match.
