We stayed in a private static caravan at Marton Mere, dealing via Booking.com directly with the owner. The caravan itself was lived-in, but perfectly adequate as a base for our adventures around the area. The position of the caravan was good - we didn't use the club house or facilities on-site as they were not part of our stay, but the caravan location is near to the main facilities, and very near the main road, and communications with the owner were great. We brought our small cockapoo along also - she had a great time too!

The caravan had everything we needed for the weekend. The beds were comfy and the rooms were warm even with the colder weather. It was in an okay area of the park and easy to find. Also having two bathrooms within the can was a bonus.
