Quirky decor. Great location.

Jennifer 9.0

The room was comfortable, the heating was easy to adjust, and I especially liked that the shower was roomy and worked well. It was also nicely decorated. It is a good location for something affordable to get in and out of central Oxford pretty easily.

Michelle 9.0

It was something a bit different. My daughter and I had a room each and they were both very different in style but both lovely and comfortable. The staff were great and we really enjoyed sitting in the small bar area playing cards and having a glass of wine.

Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice. The hot food could have been a bit hotter but difficult I suppose. The staff were very pleasant I loved the quirkiness of the place, lots of plants, ornaments, old furniture.

Very nice decoration.

Christina 8.0

Quirky hotel right outside Oxford city center (10-minute bus ride or 20-minute walk). The receptionists were super nice and helpful—service was definitely a standout. Room was nice and quiet.

Charming, eccentric, warm and cosy decor

Alexandra 8.0

Unlike other hotels I have stayed at in Oxford, the heating was good. Nice to have a kettle and a supply of tea bags and milk.

The Galaxie is a lovely, quirky little spot in Summertown, near shops, a few pubs and places to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great with lots of choice (they even had shakshuka), and the decor is colourful and fun. There are also nice little touches, such as a cabinet with bowls of sweets you can help yourself to. (Make sure you open the cabinet though... The glass is so clean that my friend didn't even know it was there, and accidently punched the glass while going to get some sweets.)

Great decor, friendly and helpful staff.

Quirky decoration and colours which gave it a unique ‘curated’ feel. Lovely comfy bed with nice quality bedding in a panelled room. Pretty good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly.

Spacious and well designed room. Heater works well. It’s not in the city centre but you can connect via bus station that is in front of the hotel. Also there is a market nearby
