The Crown Jewels

The Crown Jewels have been kept and displayed at the Tower since 1661. Explore their importance to the British monarchy, the Tower's role in protecting them and England's long tradition of coronations. The priceless collection includes some of the most legendary diamonds in the world, and it is a working collection still used by the Royal Family at national ceremonies such as the State Opening of Parliament.

The White Tower and the Line of Kings

Built to strike fear into London's citizens and deter invaders, the White Tower now stands as a symbol of London and Britain overlooking the Thames. Inside is the world's oldest visitor attraction, the Line of Kings: a row of brightly painted wooden horses among majestic suits of armour, one of the oldest and oddest collections at the Tower.
