If you run a high-street travel agency, much of your day is spent switching between screens: one tab for hotels, another for flights, a phone call to a transfer company and an e-mail to a tour supplier. Every product means another login, another price list, another payment and another voucher. That costs time and invites mistakes, usually while a customer is sitting across the desk. A B2B travel booking platform exists to pull all of this into one place. This guide explains what a good platform should do for an agency, what to check before you sign up, and how the LONDONOS agent portal approaches it.
You can see every feature on our travel agent portal page, and the application form on the agent application page.
What is a B2B travel booking platform?
A B2B (business to business) booking platform sells travel products to the professionals who resell them, rather than to the end traveller. The agent logs in with their own account, searches, sees prices on their agency’s terms, completes the booking with the customer’s details and manages everything from one panel. What separates it from a public booking site is that prices, the payment model and the reporting are shaped around the agency.
A good platform answers three questions every agent asks. What can I offer my customer? What do I earn on this sale? How do I keep track of my bookings afterwards? A system that cannot answer all three does not save work; it simply adds one more screen to the desk.
Why agents want one login for everything
Customers rarely walk in wanting a single product. A family asking about a hotel in Antalya will also ask about flights, the transfer from the airport and perhaps a day trip. When those products sit in different systems, the agent collects separate quotes, adds them up by hand and keeps the customer waiting. One platform changes that:
- Speed: hotels, flights, tours and transfers are found in the same place, on the same screen.
- Consistency: every product goes through the same checkout, so vouchers and records end up together.
- Control: you can see what you sold to whom, which bookings are paid and where your earnings stand.
- Bigger baskets: when products sit side by side, adding a transfer to a hotel or a tour to a flight becomes a natural suggestion rather than an extra job.
What the LONDONOS agent portal includes
LONDONOS is a London-based travel company selling hotels, flights, tours, airport transfers and packages in Türkiye and the UK. The agent portal opens the same products to agencies that serve customers face to face. Once your application is approved you browse the site as usual; the difference is that prices and the payment step work on your agency’s terms.
- Every product in one account: hotels, flights, tours, airport transfers and packages are booked with the same login.
- Rates set for your agency: separate rates for hotels, flights, tours and transfers are applied to prices automatically.
- Your choice of payment model: on every booking you either pay the net price or pay the normal price and collect agency commission in your wallet.
- A screen you can show the customer: enter your own markup as a percentage and prices appear with it; one click on the eye icon hides your cost.
- Vouchers and exports: hand your customer a voucher that never shows your cost, and export bookings and wallet history to Excel or CSV.
Net rates or agency commission?
Many B2B platforms force a single model on the agent: either net rates or agency commission. Yet an agency’s cash flow is not the same on every sale. On the LONDONOS portal the choice is made at the payment step of each booking. With pay the discounted price you see the normal price, your agency’s discount and the amount to pay. With pay the normal price you pay the full price and the same rate is credited to your wallet as agency commission. Agency commission becomes available once the payment is taken, and your wallet balance is paid weekly by bank transfer, with each currency kept and paid separately.
Which model suits which sale depends on how often you want to be paid and how much room you have on your card. On high-value sales, net rates reduce what leaves your card; where you quote the normal price as it is, agency commission gathers your earnings into a regular payment. The frequently asked questions on our travel agent portal page cover the difference in more detail.
The right screen in front of the customer
In an agency, selling happens with the customer looking at the same screen. The most sensitive point of any B2B platform is therefore keeping the agent’s cost out of the customer’s sight. On the portal you type your markup as a percentage into the box on the top bar, and prices on screen include it. The markup is display only and is never charged by the system: what you charge your customer is between you and them. Click the eye icon to hide the markup and see your own cost, then switch back with one click when the customer turns to the screen again.
What to check before choosing a platform
- Product range: hotels only, or flights, tours, transfers and packages as well?
- Destinations: where do your customers travel? LONDONOS focuses on Türkiye and the UK, with Antalya, Istanbul and London in the same panel.
- Payment flexibility: can you choose between net rates and agency commission?
- Customer privacy: does your cost appear on screen or on the voucher?
- Team structure: can you add sub-agents or branches?
- Reporting: can you export your records for your accountant?
- Support for the trip as a whole: can a transfer or a tour be added to the same customer’s booking without starting again somewhere else?
Applying and getting approved
The application form asks for your company’s legal name, tax office and tax number, address, a contact person, e-mail and phone; a TÜRSAB licence number and an IBAN are optional. Every application is reviewed individually. Once approved, your agency’s rates are set per product and we let you know by e-mail. From then on you log in from the agent login page and start selling.
How a booking is completed
After logging in you search exactly as any visitor would. At the payment step you enter your customer as the traveller; the contact e-mail defaults to your agency’s address, and you can add the customer’s e-mail as well. You then choose the payment model and pay by card. A hold is placed on the card first and the amount is taken once the booking is confirmed. The booking appears in your panel, and that is where you print the voucher for your customer.
In short
A B2B travel booking platform should widen what an agent can sell, shorten the time spent with each customer and make earnings transparent. The LONDONOS agent portal does this with one account for every product, agency rates set per product, a choice of payment model on every booking and a screen you can safely turn towards your customer. If you sell Türkiye or the UK from your office, you can apply for an agent account in a few minutes.
