Guest Reviews
Clean lovely atmosohere, for short or longer stays
It has everything a hostel should have! The smallest detail is covered. Curtains around the bed for privacy, a outlet to charge your phone, a small shelf for your glasses, a great continental breakfast, a patio outside so you can drink your coffee/tea in the mornings, comfortable beds, great price, excellent location and even a bar to relax and meet new friends. A full laundry to wash AND dry your clothes. Plenty of bathrooms and showers(every floor). Free blow dryers. The only downfall is the community kitchen is tiny. You have to wait your turn to cook. Highly recommended!
The staff are friendly i have been staying here regularly when i come see my partner and the staff are welcoming i would definitely recommend here.
Easy to find central location
The staff were kind and provided free food and drink.
Location was good had everything you need staff was nice and friendly and helpful
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, they really put the effort in to make you feel welcome. Good amenities, free tea, coffee and even biscuits! Fantastic location, close to everything.
The atmosphere was amazing — by far the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! It felt like a real home away from home. The volunteers were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the price was great for what you get. Big shout-out to Sara, Kristin, Tomas, Bo, Emilio, Jayne, Annika, Dave, Maggie, Leiker, Emily, Andres, Paola, Jenna, Gracie, Lizzie — and to the lovely manager and owners, Marianna, Kate, and Aris. You all made my stay unforgettable!
The staff was fantastic! The hostel was so social and welcoming.
Stayed here twice : once in a mixed dorm and the second time in a female only one, both were good but if you have the choice i would go for the female only as the layout in way better : more walking space and therefore easier to organise your lugagge around Apart from that all the staff was super nice and helpful ! And the vault (nice chill common area with all kind of seats in the basement) is perfect at the end of the day as really relaxing
Thank you for the delicious homemade cake and dinner.
The location was perfect, not to far a walk from train, and coach station. The Staff where excellent, very friendly, even put my fishing tackle in reception safe, which they didn't have to. On first arriving felt uneasy being an older person surrounded by younger travellers. However did meet a few older people, there was no uneasy feeling after awhile, as everyone met was very friendly, no ageism shown. The place was very welcoming, and tidy. Very impressed to be honest, good value for money, certainly visit again.
Friendliness of staff and other guests. Easy access and cleaners of facilities. Central location.
Clean and gets better each time The Volt looks great
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Good common rooms.
The owners have the right attitude for the hospitality business. They genuinely seem to enjoy meeting people and are true people persons, which is essential in this field. They are very welcoming to guests of all ages and backgrounds. Kudos to them—I wish their business continued success and hope they always stay true to these values. Everything is very clean, the décor has an artistic touch, and they have made the best use of every space available.
Great kitchen area. It’s a very hostel indeed, good atmosphere with friendly and kind staff.
The staff / volunteers were exceptional , had events planned nearly daily on the theme of Jane Austen as well as other trips to promote friendships and closeness amount the guests
The place is exceptionally nice because of the best people who run it. People are friendly and kind. If you join their whatsapp group you will get updates about events and things you can participate in. The place is tidy and clean. The kitchen was a great place where you can cook and meet people. It was absolutely a great stay.
Amazing location. Easy to get to alll the attractions
