Great ground floor room in host's house. Very clean room. Breakfast was provided in a small refrigerator across the hall from our bedroom. Parking behind the property was free and off the street (parking in the city requires payment). The property was within easy and flat walking distance to the central Bath area with many sites to visit.

Clean, had everything you needed. Really liked the hands off approach, felt very private!

We knew breakfast was limited to items left in a fridge outside the room - pain au chocolate, fruit juice, yoghurt. This was fine as we could look forward to having a lunch. The room was on the ground floor, well appointed and comfortable, the only observation made being that the shower bracket was not workable.

The Bay Tree House is at a terrific location. I walked from the bus station and located it easily. I was able to pop into the town center within a short walk - and did just that several times a day between outings. The room was simple but served the purpose as I generally just want a place that is clean, neat, and has a good location. The bathroom was very nice. A simple breakfast was provided in a common refrigerator with coffee/tea supplies in my room. All good !

Ver comfy place. The room was clean, warm and quiet. The bathroom was very big and clean. The hosts offered fruit and croissants which was appreciated. Close to the city center by a pleasant walk (15 min).

Very close to town (around a 10 min walk), easy to find and free parking at the back of the property. The owner greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful during our stay - we also enjoyed the free breakfast each day (banana, pastries, yogurts and fresh juice + teas & coffee)

the breakfast was a help yourself continental out of the fridge, which we knew before hand so could bring plates and cutlery the fresh milk was particularly nice to have, the location was great for walking into town about 15 mins and plenty of eating places, would recommend booking in advance though as all fully booked on saturday night. room was a good size with 2 easy chairs and ensuite shower, heating was not required but could not see how to turn it on if needed.

The location of the stay is perfect, to access the city centre. Also close to a big park behind it. Loved the cozy atmosphere.

About This Hotel

Bay Tree House is a small, thoughtfully refurbished period property that offers a warm and intimate base for visitors exploring Bath. Set in a convenient location, the house sits just a short journey from the city’s historic centre and Bath Spa Rail Station, making it easy to arrive and begin sightseeing or spa days with minimal fuss. With a calm street presence and a classic town house exterior, Bay Tree House promises a peaceful retreat after busy days of wandering through Bath’s architectural highlights and charming streets. The two guest rooms are designed to feel cosy and inviting, reflecting a contemporary touch while preserving the character of a period home. The property is well positioned for guests who want to be close to the city’s top sights yet within a quiet, residential setting that feels like a home away from home. Inside Bay Tree House the atmosphere is intimate and comfortable. The emphasis is on a relaxing, no-stress stay, where guests can unwind in well arranged spaces after a day of exploration. The hotel description highlights that all bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVs and free Wi Fi, ensuring guests can stay connected and entertained whenever they choose. This combination of comfort and practicality makes Bay Tree House an appealing option for travelers who value a high standard of basic comforts in a small, easily navigable property. The refurbishment work is presented as a key feature, promising refreshed interiors while maintaining the appeal of a period setting. This balance between old and new can be especially attractive to visitors who appreciate character plus modern convenience. Location is a clear strength for this property. Being just 15 minutes from the centre of Bath means guests can easily access the city’s famed architecture, inclusive of the Roman baths and classic Georgian streets, without committing to a long city centre stay. The proximity to Bath Spa Rail Station also makes day trips by train across the region simple and convenient. The address at 12 Crescent Gardens situates Bay Tree House in a quiet corner of Bath that feels close enough to urban energy to be practical, yet distant enough to offer a peaceful sleeping environment. For travelers who value straightforward access to transport and city sights, the location earns strong marks for ease and efficiency. The two room configuration highlights the property’s boutique, personal vibe. With a limited number of rooms, guests can expect a more individualized level of service and a quieter ambience compared with larger, busier hotels. This setup is ideal for couples seeking a relaxed, private stay, or for friends traveling as a small group who want to share a cosy base in a central area of Bath. The size also suggests a more intimate handle on guest needs, with fewer guests in residence at any one time. When it comes to dining and in-house amenities, the data does not list on-site food and beverage facilities. The absence of explicit dining options simply points to the importance of planning ahead for meals and perhaps exploring Bath’s local eateries in the area. Guests should not expect a restaurant or bar within the property based on the available information. However, the focus on a compact, homely environment means guests can enjoy a simple, private breakfast or a relaxed evening in their room with the in-room entertainment options mentioned. The free Wi Fi is a valuable feature for planning daily itineraries, checking opening times for sites, or streaming a movie after a day of sightseeing. Bay Tree House also appears to emphasize a relaxed pace and a sense of belonging. Its refurbishment signals a modern update that balances comfort with a nod to its historical roots. The property’s two room total implies a level of exclusivity and a sense of privacy that can be very appealing for guests who prioritise a home-like feel over the bustle of larger hotels. The overall experience seems designed for guests who want to feel at ease, come back to a quiet, well kept space, and enjoy Bath at a slower, more thoughtful rhythm. In terms of suitability, Bay Tree House is well-matched to travelers who want a central yet calm base in Bath without the formality of a large hotel. It suits couples looking for a romantic city break or travelers who value efficient logistics and a comfortable, well connected base for exploring Bath’s historic streets and nearby rail links. Families with very small children may find the two-room setup less flexible, but for those who prioritise privacy and the charm of a refurbished period home, this property offers a compelling option. Guests who appreciate reliable Wi Fi, in-room entertainment, and a thoughtfully updated interior are likely to feel at home here. In summary, Bay Tree House presents a refined, intimate alternative to larger city hotels in Bath. It combines a respectful refurbishment with practical modern essentials and a location that makes city sights highly accessible. For travelers who value a quiet, well located base with comfortable rooms and dependable connectivity, this property offers a straightforward, appealing option in a storied English city.
