Quiet location in grounds of Heriot Watt University, surrounded by trees. Ample convenient parking. Hotel has been designed to offer travellers comfort, just what they need as far as catering is required, no frills so good value. Nice big rooms. Modern design and very clean. Easy to find using Sat Nav if driving.

The bathroom was stunning! Over exceeded our expectations. The one complaint with the room was the air conditioning system which made a constant whirling noise even when off…we even tried to removed the keycard from the electrical system at 2am as it was as driving us nuts, yet it still whirled. This resulted in a not so good sleep. The breakfast was as tasty, replenished well. One criticism would be having the lifts facing the dining area is disruptive. The bar area furniture is lovely but lights are so bright as it’s within the main lobby, a more chilled atmosphere would be better, like the far corner would be more ideal with dimmed lights.
