The owner was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were basic but great for what we needed. The beds were really comfy. We didn't have to worry about parking as the owner let us park in front of the hotel.
The staff were lovely and friendly. They accommodated us checking in early and leaving our car. The location was excellent for the Marathon we had stayed to compete in.

About This Hotel
Mr sandman’s hotel sits in Blackpool’s North Shore district, a simple, welcoming property that places you within easy reach of the sea. The guest house is located at 3 Mount Street, within a short stroll of the coast and the quiet residential streets that characterize this part of Blackpool. Its position is ideal for travelers who want quick access to the seaside while enjoying a relaxed stay in a compact, easygoing setting. Distances to the beach are a clear selling point. Bispham Beach is about 1.3 km away, with Blackpool North Beach at 2.2 km and Blackpool Central Beach about 2.5 km from the hotel. For guests aiming to spend long days by the water or to enjoy a sunset stroll along the shore, the location offers convenience without the bustle of a central seafront hotel. The North Shore area is known for its wide skies and a more low-key vibe, which many visitors find reassuring and comfortable for a seaside break. The property itself accommodates 10 rooms, offering a straightforward, no-fuss stay. While the listing does not detail specific renovation work or interior design elements, guests can expect a practical room setup designed to provide rest after a day near the water. If you are traveling with family or a small group, the setup is simple and approachable, with tidy spaces that focus on comfort and good sleep after a day on the beach. Parking and connectivity are practical advantages. Private parking is available on site with a reservation, at a cost of GBP 5 per day. There is complimentary WiFi in public areas, making it easy to check the day’s plans, share photos from the trip, or coordinate activities with ease. The property supports flexible access with a check in window from 14:00 to 23:00 and a checkout before 11:00, giving guests a reasonable level of freedom to tailor their day to the coastal weather and local events. When it comes to family travel, Mr sandman’s hotel presents a clear set of policies to manage expectations. The site notes that there is no capacity for cots in rooms, and that all cots and extra beds are subject to availability. The maximum number of guests per room is four, which makes it a viable option for small families or groups seeking an affordable base near the beaches. Children are welcome, and some savings can be available for younger guests when using existing beds or available extra beds, according to the property’s policy details. It is important to review these rules during booking to understand exactly how many children can stay, and under which conditions, for your chosen room type. Regarding dining and on-site services, the available information does not specify a restaurant or breakfast offering at the property. Photos in the listing show various rooms and a bed setup, with a breakfast tag appearing in some images, but no definitive statement about on-site meals is provided. Guests should plan to explore nearby cafes and eateries along Mount Street and the surrounding area, or refer to updated details at the time of booking for any changes to dining options. If you are seeking a straightforward seaside base, this hotel suits travelers who value location, affordability, and ease of access over extensive in-house facilities. It is well matched to couples looking for a quiet coastal escape as well as families who want a practical stay near multiple Blackpool beaches without the complexity or cost of larger resort properties. The North Shore setting is quieter than the central promenade, which can appeal to visitors who prefer a calmer environment after a day by the sea. In summary, Mr sandman’s hotel offers a practical, beach-oriented stay in Blackpool with a focus on location, affordable accommodation, and family friendly policies. It provides a simple, comfortable home base for exploring the coast, with easy access to Bispham Beach and the wider Blackpool beach scene. This makes it a good choice for guests who want a cost-conscious, location-driven seaside getaway and who are comfortable coordinating meals and activities outside the property when needed.
