Gorgeous old terrace building in a quiet neighbourhood. Staff were very helpful, the young man who fixed our blind, reservations and hotel manager and Scottish bloke we spoke with about the restaurant service tax in Edinburgh of note. Cleaning staff were super fit hopping up all those stairs and kept our room tip top during the week. Easy walk to town or just down the street to plenty of little shops and eateries. Overall great stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Overall definitely an ok/good place, I had only one night. And well, it was fine in most of the meanings, nice pillows, beds and everything up to the high standards. Stuff were nice, helpful, the hotel overall looks nice everywhere. Situated in a beautiful spot on a hill, with a short (~10 min?) climb to the castle and other spots.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Walkable to all the main sites yet in a very calm neighborhood. Would definitely come back to stay here. The building is beautiful.

We new this would be a bit squeezy as we chose the 'Wee Double' but despite the small size, the room was very comfortable. We did not know at the time of booking that it was a heritage listed building and they have done a lovely job with it. Our room was on the top floor and no elevator but never fear. The staff are awesome, carrying our bags up and down the stairs. The location was good, an easy walk to Princes St.
