Breakfast was delicious, even got me some vegan yogurt and cheese. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, telling us the best walking routes to the town and about good places to eat.

Lovely guest house spotless and inviting . Deborah personally welcomed us , very knowledgeable of Whitby made some really helpful suggestions of where to visit as this was our 1st time visiting . The staff at breakfast were friendly and made us feel really welcome . The property was homely immaculate and the room was lovely . Nice touch with biscuits and hot chocolate . We cannot recommend this place enough, the location to the centre is a short walk . The breakfast although not a full English was was a great selection and even catered for a gluten free option big tick from us and will 100% look forward to returning again ! Thank you Deborah and team you made us very welcome and we appreciated that personal touch .
Great location, easy check in with Deborah's personal welcome. Comfy room was great value and had everything needed, including smart TV, generously stocked tea/coffee/biscuits, hairdryer and hand basin. Breakfast 10/10 with lots of options including homemade granola and fruit compote, cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, croissant, tea or coffee and juice. Felt like a valued guest with staff chatting about the town and places to visit, as a solo traveler this is appreciated. 5 mins walk from the town, 2 minutes from the seafront.
The guest house is beautifully presented with the added little touches that are so appreciated beverages lovely biscuits also bottled water, adding wine glasses and a bottle opener/corkscrew. The host is friendly and very helpful.

While there is no on site pool, Norman Guest House benefits from its proximity to Whitby’s seaside character. You are just a walk or short ride from the shingle and sandy stretches that characterize Whitby’s coast, and the harbor area is an inviting place for a relaxed afternoon. After a day on the quay, you return to a quiet interior where you can unwind in a bright, uncluttered space. The absence of a pool aligns with the intimate, low key vibe that many guests are seeking in a Whitby break. Rooms are at the heart of Norman Guest House. Each of the seven accommodations is bright and individually decorated, designed to feel fresh yet homely. Expect clean lines, soft textures and practical touches that contribute to a restful stay. In every room you’ll find an LCD TV for entertainment or catching up on news, while the beds are described by guests as comfortable and inviting. Some rooms offer extra space, providing a little more room to spread out after a long day of sightseeing. Contemporary morning energy comes in the form of a continental breakfast offered daily. The bakery fresh options and light bites provide a simple, satisfying start before you head out to explore Whitby. The friendly dining area is designed for ease, so you can grab a bite and planning your day without fuss.
