The Sheridan is in an ideal location close to all North Bay Attractions and has easy access to the town and south bay. Well maintained, clean and tastefully decorated, it provides a comfortable place to stay. The owners are friendly and helpful. This time round I stayed in twin room 3 which is situated at the rear of the property so nice and quiet. Beds are very comfortable and the room was ideal with plenty of hanging space and drawers. The en-suite, whilst not being the most modern, was very clean and had a good powerful, hot shower. Breakfast is plentiful and expertly cooked, well presented and very tasty. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely use The Sheridan again.

About This Hotel

Nestled in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, Sheridan is a small guesthouse that puts location first. With only nine guest rooms, it feels intimate yet unfussy, making it easy to settle into a relaxed seaside break. The building sits at 108 Columbus Ravine, within easy reach of the coast and a short stroll from the town’s leisure options. Guests describe the property as a comfortable, well managed base for exploring the area without the crowds of larger hotels. Walk from Sheridan and you are five minutes from the nearest beach, where the sea air and coastal views set the tone for a restorative holiday. The stretch of sand is within easy reach for morning jogs or afternoon family strolls. For those who prefer green space, Peasholm Park is just two minutes away on foot, presenting a pleasant backdrop for a gentle walk between boat ponds, ornamental gardens, and open lawns. The Alexander Bowling Centre is likewise close by for casual evenings out, and the cricket ground is only five minutes on foot. On site parking takes the stress out of arrivals, a practical perk for guests who drive to this part of the coast. Check in from 14:00 and check out by 10:00, with WiFi available throughout the property at no extra cost. The warm lobby and reception area set a friendly tone, reflecting the personal service that guests repeatedly praise in reviews. The guesthouse is clearly designed for simple, comfortable stays rather than grand hotel theatrics. Rooms at Sheridan are compact but well appointed, designed to maximize comfort with thoughtful details that matter after a day at the beach or park. The photo gallery shows beds ready for a good night’s sleep, and a variety of room types are represented with options described as bedrooms and rooms. Many images highlight a seating area, a desk or a stash of coffee and tea facilities, and televisions for relaxed evenings. Several rooms also show garden views while others capture street or city glimpses from the window. Bright, clean bathrooms complete the picture with modern showers and well kept fittings, an important assurance for travelers who value reliable facilities. The collection of photos demonstrates a consistent attention to decorative detail, from tasteful lighting to practical storage. The presence of a dining area on site is suggested by the photos, and breakfast imagery labeled continental breakfast points to a simple, classic start to the day. The emphasis is on comfort, not glamour, and guests often note the peaceful atmosphere. Family friendly terms are clear in the property policies. The site welcomes children of any age, and there is a policy that one child up to 16 can stay free when using existing beds. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots, and the maximum occupancy per room appears to be two guests. These rules make Sheridan a practical choice for small families or couples traveling with children who fit within the standard room configuration. It is also a good option for friends traveling together who want to share a compact, affordable base. Practical amenities extend to reliable WiFi in all areas and private on site parking with a reservation. The property does not list on site pet facilities, and the stricter pet policy makes it ideal for travelers who prefer a pet free environment. Guests with a culinary curiosity will appreciate the on site dining area references in photos and the nearby eating options visible in the area, and those seeking downtime can take advantage of the quiet streets and sea breezes that define the locale. Location, value and service come together at Sheridan for travelers who want a genuine seaside experience without the formality of larger hotels. This is a place for thoughtful, relaxed stays where you can easily switch between beach days, parkland strolls and casual evenings out. The surrounding sights are within easy reach, and the hotel’s own proximity to Peasholm Park and the cricket ground adds a touch of local flavor that frequent visitors appreciate. In sum, Sheridan suits couples, small families and solo travelers seeking a calm base with character. With a superb overall rating and hundreds of reviews, Sheridan earns its high marks from guests who value location, practical comforts and friendly service. The property has a long track record of steady occupancy and positive impressions, reflecting the care the team puts into arranging parking, welcoming arrivals and maintaining comfortable rooms. If you crave a seaside base that is easy to reach, welcoming and well run, Sheridan makes a compelling choice within walking distance of the beach, green spaces and local amusements.
