Very warm welcoming by Pat. Location was great, just a short walk to the promanade. Breakfast was lovely and satisfying with a great selection of different foods. We also liked that we could park our car, in a safe place for a reasonable price.

About This Hotel
The Glenroy Guest House is a thoughtfully run sustainable bed and breakfast set in a historic building in the heart of Blackpool. With five guest rooms and a garden escape, it offers a quiet base just moments from the lively seafront. Guests rely on private parking on site, a practical perk in a busy seaside town, and the property embraces a simple, friendly approach to hospitality. Location matters here. The property sits on Trafalgar Road in central Blackpool, placing you within easy reach of the promenade and the vibrant town centre while still offering a peaceful ambiance thanks to its garden spaces. From this convenient hub you can stroll to Blackpool South Beach, soak up the sea air, and enjoy the walkable access to shops, cafés and local attractions that make a seaside break so effortless. The gardens provide a welcome contrast to the town’s energy. A sheltered outdoor space invites guests to linger after a day on the sands or exploring the neighbourhood. It is easy to imagine evenings spent in the fresh air, listening to the quiet of the garden as the town carries on nearby. The hotel’s green philosophy runs through the experience, underscoring a respectful approach to the local environment. Inside, the five rooms are designed for comfort and a restful stay. The property is presented as a home away from home, with a focus on relaxed touches and practical amenities. Photographs of bedrooms and living spaces highlight a cozy, well maintained setting with beds prepared for a good night’s sleep and thoughtful layout that makes the most of the available space. While the exact room configurations aren’t listed here, guests can expect well planned layouts suitable for couples and small families seeking a straightforward, pleasant stay in a central location. For convenience and social space, The Glenroy offers common areas that are visible in its photo gallery, including a lounge or seating area where guests can unwind. Coffee and tea facilities are available in or near these spaces, providing a simple way to start the day or enjoy a quiet moment in the afternoon. The presence of a lounge area adds to the sense of a welcoming home atmosphere, ideal for resting between excursions to the nearby beach or local sights. Practical details matter when planning a seaside getaway. The Glenroy operates with flexible check in times from 14:00 to 21:00 and a later, relaxed check out window from 09:30 to 10:30. WiFi is available in all areas free of charge, making it easy to stay connected whether you are catching up on emails, streaming a show in the room, or researching the next day’s plan. Private parking is available on site, though it cannot be reserved in advance and incurs a small daily charge of GBP 5. This is a valuable plus in Blackpool where on street parking can be scarce and time consuming to locate. Families are welcome at The Glenroy. The property allows children of any age, which makes it an option for smaller families or multi generational trips. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots, and the maximum occupancy per stay is three guests. This policy keeps spaces comfortable and uncluttered, ensuring a restful environment for all guests. When it comes to dining, the guest house operates as a bed and breakfast style stay. While detailed meal options aren’t itemised here, the overall concept emphasises a personable, uncomplicated hospitality experience that pairs well with a quick, tasty breakfast and coffee breaks in the day. The proximity to Blackpool’s seafront also means you can easily combine a delicious morning meal with a stroll along the promenade or a visit to nearby cafés and eateries. This hotel is ideal for travelers who value a central Blackpool location paired with a calm, garden oriented setting. It suits couples looking for a quiet base with easy sea access, families seeking a compact, well priced stay close to the beach, and guests who appreciate sustainability in hospitality alongside practical comforts like free WiFi and on site parking. If you are planning a short break to Blackpool and want a friendly, uncomplicated place to stay with a sense of history and a touch of greenery, The Glenroy Guest House offers a straightforward, reliable option built around comfort and convenience.
