Lovely view right on the sea front . The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were pleasant
Clean, comfortable room, tea making, fridge in room. Everything we needed on our short stay. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice and lovely waiting staff. No negatives at all, and somewhere we can’t wait to stay again. Totally central with sea view from some rooms. Our dogs were welcomed.
Breakfast was adequate. Location was fantastic.
Brilliant location , very clean and the staff were very nice
Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location on the beach front and within easy walking distance of the main town, station and car parks. Rooms were comfortable and although basic were more than adequate.
Location & room size were very good Property was clean & staff were all friendly & welcoming Sea view was amazing
The hotel was able to facilitate an early check in time which, as we were travelling on public transport, was helpful. The room was of a good size with a beautiful view of the sea front and bay with a large bathroom and within comfortable walking distance of the station; the breakfast were good with the hot food cooked to order.
We stayed here on our first of many stops on our mini-moon! We liked loads! Central location, clean, quiet, lovely view, excellent staff +++ bar and breakfast, really nice bar for a before bed drink! Breakfast nice, swift service and again lovely staff! Nice pretty room, comfortable, spotless! Oh also a brilliant close parking, cheap too!
Breakfast was amazing, choices of cereals to start with and a full English. Location was right on the beachfront so easily accessible to family's and the elderly who don't want to walk too far. Staff were friendly and welcoming!!
The bathroom and room were very clean.
A good breakfast served promptly. An ideal location if travelling by train. The Rail Station is only a few minutes walk. The biggest plus is that we were on the seafront with a sea view. Nothing locally was too far to walk. A much needed lift as there were a lot of stairs for an older couple.
Comfortable, great location, very happy staff
Staff were amazing. So helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Nice and clean everywhere. Our dog was welcome and she was very happy.
The location was perfect overlooking the beach, very close to the train station and the town centre. The staff were all very friendly and helpful a special mention to Mark for the loan of his fan from reception. The breakfast was an unexpected bonus and very nice too.
The location was fantastic, overlooking the sea, near the train station, and walking distance from all Weymouth's attractions and facilities. Also very friendly welcome and great breakfast. Our room was very comfortable with spacious bathroom and wonderful views of the sea.
Great location
Perfect location to visit the beach and centre. Lots of amenities nearby.
Homely vibe, clean and staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Me and my son had a lovely stay. But had problems connecting to the WiFi. And the shower head leaked everywhere and couldn't adjust the height of it. But we did enjoy the breakfast and the beds were really comfy so we both slept well. We will return again in the future 😊
About This Hotel
The Leam Hotel sits directly on Weymouth’s Esplanade, a compact seaside retreat that places the sea at the edge of every window. With ten guest rooms, the property embraces a simple, characterful vibe that appeals to travelers who want a straightforward coastal break without fuss. The building faces the beach, so the sound of the waves and the feel of salt air are part of daily life here. For those arriving by car, a central Esplanade position makes it easy to stroll to the promenade and reach Weymouth’s town center on foot. Weymouth itself is a classic English seaside town with a long, sandy beach and a promenade that invites year round strolls. Staying at The Leam means you can dip into the charm of the town and still step from the door straight onto the public sands. The Esplanade location also makes day trips simple: Monkey World is a little over 24 kilometers away and Corfe Castle can be reached in about 37 kilometers, combining coastal scenery with heritage exploration for a versatile getaway. Because the hotel faces the shore, guests regularly wake to the rhythm of the coast. The shared lounge, restaurant and bar are arranged to capture those sea views and the relaxed pace of a beach holiday. Outside, the Esplanade is a lively but friendly space perfect for sunset walks, people watching, or a quiet stroll before dinner. While the property does not advertise a pool, the immediate access to the beach allows for refreshing salt air and easy beach days. Inside, ten rooms are designed for practical comfort. The emphasis is on proximity to the water and to Weymouth’s amenities, with spaces that feel welcoming after a day on the coast. The listing notes straightforward setups rather than transformative renovations, so guests should expect a simple, efficient environment that keeps the focus on sea, sky and the sound of waves. Some rooms show sea view potential in photographs, reinforcing the lure of a coastal retreat. On site you will find a restaurant and a bar where meals and drinks are available in a relaxed setting. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options are shaped to fit a casual seaside visit, with the ambiance of a sociable venue that invites guests to compare notes after a day exploring Weymouth. The quiet lounge also acts as a natural gathering spot, so you can start or end your evening with light bites, a hot drink, or a glass of something cold while enjoying the view. The Leam Hotel is family friendly and welcomes children of any age. In each room the maximum occupancy is three guests, which makes family stays practical and affordable. One child up to five years old stays free when using existing beds, and there is no capacity for extra beds or cots. Check in runs from 15:00 to 20:00, and check out is between 08:30 and 11:00, allowing for relaxed mornings and flexible sightseeing plans. Relaxation comes courtesy of the calm lounge and the bar where guests can unwind after a day by the sea. The property’s central Weymouth location makes it easy to catch sunset views along the Esplanade and to use the town as a base for coastal walks, local eateries and light entertainment. Free WiFi ensures you can plan the next day’s itinerary or simply stream a film in your room after quiet hours by the shoreline. This hotel is ideal for couples seeking a simple beachside base, families exploring Weymouth, or travelers looking for good value in a central coastal location. Its unpretentious design, friendly atmosphere and direct access to the coast create a comfortable home base for a Weymouth short break or a longer holiday that mixes beach days with heritage outings. If you want a straightforward seaside stay with reliable amenities and a warm, sociable vibe, The Leam Hotel offers a welcoming option on the Esplanade.
