I arrived at the Queensbury late, after trying but failing to check in at a budget lock box check-in place, which was disastrous. In stark contrast, at the Queensbury I was greeted by a lovely helpful and smiley receptionist, who showed me to my ENORMOUS room. It was vintage, but very clean with crisp white bed linen and generous towels. I felt nurtured and safe. Slept like a log. Thank you for a last-minute rescue on a rainy day stranded in Brighton in the rain, half way through a longer journey. I felt so grateful. Would happily stay here again. What a relief to find such kind human hospitality.

Well good for price

For the price I paid for last minute booking. It was very good value for money. It was clean and suitable. Nothing fancy but good location. Very small bathroom, I’m not putting as a negative because for the price I paid it was perfectly adequate. Easy and friendly check in.

About This Hotel

The Queensbury Hotel is a compact residence that has been fully refurbished to the comfort of today while preserving the building’s historic character. Set opposite Brighton in Regency Square, the property occupies a prime seafront position that is instantly relaxing the moment you step outside. The Grade II Listed building houses 24 guest rooms, each tailored to provide a welcoming base for both short breaks and longer stays. The address 58 Regency Square BN1 2GB places you in a lively area with easy access to both the beach and public transport. From the doorstep it is a short stroll to the famous Brighton seafront with its long promenade, attractions, and cafe culture. The location keeps you within easy reach of the city’s iconic landmarks and cultural venues, while the West Pier area offers a distinctive backdrop for seaside strolls at sunset. For travelers arriving by train, Brighton Rail Station is a comfortable 15 minute walk away, making day trips along the coast or into neighboring towns straightforward and stress free. Rooms and views are a key part of the Queensbury experience. The refurbishment has updated interiors to offer comfortable, uncluttered spaces that feel calm after a day of exploration. The property is described as seafront accommodation, so guests can expect some rooms to showcase views of the sea and horizon. The attention to detail in the renovation aims to strike a balance between the charm of a historic building and the convenience of modern amenities. Inside the guest quarters you will find practical layouts, soft lighting, and tasteful finishes designed to promote restful sleep. While the data does not specify exact bed types or in room facilities, the collection of interior photos suggests well appointed sleeping spaces with generous beds and clean, fresh styling. Guests can be confident in a comfortable environment whether traveling alone, as a couple, or as a small family. Dining and drink options are not listed in the official data for this hotel. That said, Brighton is renowned for its diverse eating scenes and nearby Regency Square and surrounding streets offer a range of cafes and eateries. Guests staying at the Queensbury can expect to explore convenient options within a short walk after check in, or consider a wider choice along the seafront and in central Brighton. Family friendliness is a clear feature of the property. The hotel welcomes children of any age, with certain conditions around bedding and occupancy. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots, and the maximum occupancy is four guests in a room. The policy notes that up to three children, up to and including two years old, can stay free when using existing beds. The minimum check in age is 18, and pets are not allowed, which helps keep the environment quiet and comfortable for all guests. WiFi is free in all areas, ensuring families can stay connected while they enjoy the location. Connectivity and practicalities are clearly stated. Free WiFi is available in all areas which makes it easy to plan your days, share photos from the Brighton seafront, or work remotely if needed. Check in begins at 3 pm and continues until midnight, while check out starts at 7 30 am and continues until 11 am. The hotel is not a large property but its intimate scale is part of its charm, providing a personalised service and a friendly, attentive atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Relaxation and entertainment are possible during your stay thanks to the surrounding city. While the property does not list a spa, pool, or fitness room, Brighton offers a wealth of options for wellbeing and fun within easy reach. The Queensbury itself is ideally suited to travelers who value character, location, and value over a vast resort style offering. If you are after a seaside escape with a strong sense of place and convenient transport links, this hotel delivers. Who this hotel is ideal for: The Queensbury is well suited to couples looking for a romantic base on the seafront, families seeking a compact and friendly stay, and travelers who want straightforward access to Brighton’s sights and the coast.
