What you will see

The Yeoman Warders, popularly known as Beefeaters, share chilling stories from the Tower's past. You see the sites where executions took place and where exotic animals such as polar bears were once kept. In the White Tower, the Line of Kings exhibition shows royal armour through the ages. The glittering highlight is the magnificent Crown Jewels.

About the Beefeater tours

The Beefeater talk is included in the admission price. Places on the walking tours cannot be booked in advance; the Yeoman Warders try to accommodate as many visitors as possible. Tours are in English only and times are displayed on entry. An audio guide in several languages is available for an extra fee.

Tips before you go

Check the Tower's opening hours before your visit. There may be queues for the Crown Jewels at busy times, so seeing them early in the day can save waiting. The site is not wheelchair accessible; service animals are welcome and there are public transport links nearby. Tips are not included.

How booking works

Choose your date and number of guests and send your request; at this stage we only place a hold on your card. We check availability with the operator, email you when we confirm and take the payment at that point. If the request cannot be fulfilled, we email you and your card is not charged.
