Hotel Meudon

Meudon, a stunning Country house and Beachside hotel nestled in nine acres of gardens, sweeping down to the property’s private beach Bream Cove, think mid-century glamour dialled up against a Cornish coastal backdrop, all retro charm and confident colour. Set in nine acres of subtropical valley gardens sweeping down to the hotel’s own private beach at Bream Cove, it’s 2 miles from Falmouth and the Helford River.
The interiors carry that same confidence: bold colour, pattern, and original character run through the public rooms rather than the safer, more expected country-house look. Each guest room looks out over the garden. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, a seating area, and en-suite facilities with free toiletries. Suites have their own patio or balcony, and the Cove rooms either open directly onto the garden through patio doors or take in long views across the valley.

The Restaurant looks out across the garden towards Falmouth Bay, with dinner served 6pm–9pm daily and lunch also available. Freddie’s Bar stocks a serious range of whiskies and gins alongside artisan Cornish ales from local breweries and a full wine list, poured by a team that’s more casual and friendly than formal.
With free parking on site, Hotel Meudon puts the Cornish coast and countryside within easy reach. Snorkelling, fishing and sailing are all on offer a mile away on the Helford River, and Yoga and SUP can be enjoyed round the corner at Maenporth Beach. Falmouth Golf Club and Driving Range, near Swanpool Beach, is 2 miles from the hotel, and Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens are 1.8 and 1.6 miles away respectively.
