Guest Reviews
The location of Goreme Cave Lodge was excellent 🙌 Less than 10 minutes walk from downtown 🤩 Nice and quiet area because of the perfect distance away from the center of downtown 👌The breakfast was awesome, and is a must if breakfast is an important part of your day. 🙋 The lodge is family owned and extra care is definitely noticeable during your stay 🙏 We received evening snacks daily from the owners which included various fruits 🥰 The owners surprisingly bought a birthday cake for my wife which was so awesome because we didn’t mention it to them, but they noticed during check in 🙏 I love the recommendation that they provided during our stay to include some really awesome restaurants in the area ❤️🔥 The room that we stayed in was #3 which is the 2nd to the biggest within the lodge 💝 It also holds sentimental value as well as decades of history. The room was nice and clean. Directly in front of the room is a pool to soak during hot summer days. There is a patio to watch the balloons fly over the city, or take pictures with stunning rock formations to include Uchisar Castle. Lastly, the entire staff were nice, friendly, honest, and good people you can definitely trust in making your stay an awesome and enjoyable experience
breakfast was excellent. Staff were very pleasant ,helpful , room was very spacious, shower was powerful and easy to control
It is without a doubt one of the best (if not the best) accommodations I’ve ever booked through Booking. Yes, Cappadocia is indeed more expensive than other places, and yes, it’s also true that my family and I decided to spend a bit more than we usually do when we travel. But my perfect rating isn’t because the room or the hotel were luxurious, it’s because the staff’s service was OUTSTANDING, the rooms were SPOTLESS, the breakfast buffet was EXTREMELY GENEROUS, and every night when we came back, they welcomed us with a small treat and a huge smile. They’ve been operating for less than four years, but I’m sure that in terms of value for money, it’s a better choice than many long-established hotels. If you get the chance, don’t hesitate!
Beautiful property, fabulous staff. Breakfast was excellent.
Our stay at Goreme Cave Lodge was one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Cappadocia. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. The owner generously offered my mother one of their best rooms: a spacious suite on the ground floor complete with a cozy living area. It was perfect. The staff were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful, always ready to guide us with recommendations on must-visit places around Goreme. Their attentiveness made our stay feel personal and comfortable. The open-concept attic lounge was a unique highlight. Beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing. Although it lacks a fireplace (which would be a great addition), it still offered a serene space to unwind. Breakfast each morning was a lovely spread of traditional Turkish delights — fresh, simple, and satisfying. The location of the lodge is ideal. Centrally placed with easy access to major attractions. We even enjoyed the sight of hot air balloons drifting overhead in the morning, and the sunset views were absolutely breathtaking. While the rooms don’t have air conditioning, the cave-like structure helps regulate temperature. However, some heating options during colder months would be helpful. Overall, this place felt like home with a touch of magic. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cappadocia. Personally would like to thank Buraq & Ferid for the most kindest hospitality. See yall soon.
The hotel owner Bulent and his staff of Buraq and Abdul were simply fantastic. They go beyond the norm to make their guests feel special and welcome.
Location
Owner and staff were so welcoming. They looked after us really well, sorting our transfer and bookings, and making sure we had a lovely stay. Room was excellent and there was a beautiful terrace.
Wonderful family run hotel. Father and sons could not do enough to help us with advice on local trips, restaurant recommendations and the best currency exchange we had all holiday. The breakfast was delicious - all freshly made Turkish specialties and finished off with a perfect Turkish Coffee. We stayed four nights and are already planning to return with the rest of our family. Thank you guys for an absolutely amazing stay.
the personal touch from the owner and his son, they could not do enough for us and made us fell so welcome
From arrival to departure, the experience with this hotel was exceptional. I’m not easily pleased but there was nothing to complain about! The staff were attentive but not overly so. They helped, advised and guided us on our itinerary when we needed it. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the bed comfortable and the shower excellent. Can highly recommend. There are an abundance of hotels in Göreme, some still being built but so glad we chose this one. Great central location.
Everything about our stay was exceptional — the location, the staff, and the overall experience. We had the best time in Cappadocia! Special shout-out to Bulent, Burak, and the rest of the team for their impeccable service and warm hospitality. We truly appreciate the seamless experience you created for us — thank you for making our stay unforgettable!
Amazing hotel with amazing staff. Everything about this hotel was so great. The staff were all so friendly and helpful - they genuinely care about their guests and will go above and beyond to make your stay as good as possible. They made some great recommendations of what to do in the area as well. Breakfast was really good with plenty of options. Room was lovely and comfortable. Great location.
We had a wonderful time at the Göreme Cave Lodge. The location is perfect, very close to the city center but far enough to quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable, room was very clean, and the shower was amazing! The breakfast spread was extensive and tasty, and the grounds were stunning. I would have to say the best thing about our entire stay was the staff. They were so caring and accommodating, we really felt quite at home. 10/10 would recommend and come back!
Everything - from the location, service and the staff! It was the best experience we had!
The breakfast was the best of all my accommodations. I stayed in 6 different hotels during my trip. They would cook you a made to order breakfast if you wanted, but the buffet had many wonderful items to choose from. Pastries, cookies, so many sauces to choose from, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, olives, cheeses, and more than I can remember here. The hotel is family owned and operated. The staff made me feel at home and Burak was the greatest concierge, receptionist, breakfast attendant (I hope I spelled his name right). The room was very nice. Wonderful Turkish decor. Bathroom was clean and had all I needed. Burak arrange my tour and airport shuttle and both were great.
The room was an authentic cave room, very spacious, balanced with ambient light and furniture. The breakfast was superb, served on the rooftop terrace with spectacular views of Göreme, which was sunny and beautiful in the morning. The omelets were delicious, as well as the rest of the buffet. Superb location for balloon watching in the morning, quiet area yet very close to everything.
You really sleep in a cave, very beautiful place and they will help you with any request as shuttler or tour reservation. The staff is very kind !
Family run and very friendly.
First of all, you should trust the reviews. There are no words to describe how welcome we felt at this place. The room was great, impecably clean and cozy, quite big. The breakfast was delicious, with some “just cooked” warm options. The terrace and location of the hotel are also quite beautiful, allowing you with to be dazzled with the beautiful sights of Goreme. And it’s just far enough from the main street to be incredibly quiet. But what I would like to mention, above all, is the hospitality of the hosts and all the staff. They were always trying to help us organize every day (either offering some paid tours with companies or just helping us plan our hikes in the valleys, with the best tips - thank you Bulent!). During our stay in Kapadokya, there were many days in a row with balloon flight cancellations, and they always did their best to help us find a way to reschedule. Thank you Bulent, Burak, Abdul and Murat for making us feel so welcome and “at home”.
