We liked the location. The room was very tidy. Hosts was very welcoming and had such a lovely dog. We didn't stay for breakfast. However, when we looked in, it was very accommodating for a continental option. We took away some packet breakfast with us for our journey.

Host was friendly, rooms nice and clean, and bed very comfortable, only slight issue was with the cussion on the bed, as I kept waking up with fluff stuck to my head every morning, but no big deal, we'd definitely stay again

We booked as cheap weekend away so we got what we payed for. Lovely view of lights and sea. Basic rooms could tell in middle of being updated. Good secltion of ceral for breakfast. In quite area of blackpool. It was clean, quite hotel. Tram stop right out side. Staff friendly and meet there dog who was lovely boy. The owner family explained the long term plan for it which sounds like it be lovely once done. We would happily stay there again. We were able to check in earlier then planed.

Blackpool is like Miami Beach fifty years ago - an everyman's beach resort. Ocean Bay is a grand example of that kind of old school hotel. A little bit "nanny", with the regular intimidations about smoking, or even eating, in one's room. For Your Own Good. But they're up front and honest about it, and probably seldom need to enforce. Otherwise, the rooms are clean, and there is only a tiny amount of black mold in the shower, the staff/owners are personable and have genuine concern for guests. Vastly preferable to an indifferent chain hotel. The location is excellent, near to the beach And Pleasure Beach. As good as Blackpool gets.

About This Hotel

Ocean Bay sits on New South Promenade, overlooking the beach and offering a straightforward seaside base in Blackpool. The hotel’s position keeps the sand and the town’s lively promenade within easy reach, while a calm, friendly atmosphere greets guests on arrival. Located at 583 New South Promenade, the property is just 600 meters from Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach, making it a smart choice for families and couples who want both beachside access and close proximity to the action. Free roadside public parking is available nearby, subject to availability. Step outside and you are met by a wide seafront that invites long strolls and easy access to cafés and shops along the promenade. The area around Ocean Bay blends traditional seaside charm with practical convenience, so you can pop out for a quick bite or a longer walk along the water. After a day of amusement parks or a morning on the sand, you can return to the hotel and unwind in a familiar, unpretentious setting. Being close to the water also means the chance of sea views from common areas and a light, airy atmosphere inside. The property features a comfortable TV lounge and bar where guests can relax with a drink or catch up with travel companions. Even when the weather keeps you indoors, the lounge area provides a welcoming focal point to share stories from the day and plan your next outing along the coast. Inside, Ocean Bay offers 13 rooms designed for practical comfort. The rooms show a mix of configurations, with several options that offer sea views to frame a morning wake up with the sound of waves. In-room touches include coffee and tea facilities for a quick refresh, and a seating area plus a television for downtime. Photo highlights also suggest bunk bed configurations in some rooms, which can be a convenient choice for families traveling with children. Details about renovations or recent styling are not disclosed in the available data. What is clear is a tidy, functional approach that prioritizes ease of use and a cozy feel over flashier design. Guests should expect clean spaces, comfortable beds and light decor that keeps the focus on the sea and the nearby promenade. This straightforward setup appeals to travelers who want a dependable home base without fuss. Food and drink options at Ocean Bay are simple and approachable. A lounge bar on site offers a relaxed place to unwind after a day on the beach, and the hotel pictures indicate a welcoming social space for conversations and a quick nightcap. The presence of photos showing breakfast imagery suggests a morning meal service, while in-room coffee and tea facilities give guests flexibility for a quick refill before heading out again. Family friendliness is a notable strength. The guest room layouts, including bunk bed options, cater to groups and families seeking an affordable seaside break. The policy notes that up to five guests can be accommodated in a room and that cots and extra beds are subject to availability. The absence of guaranteed extra beds means families may plan around the stated limits, but the overall setup remains practical for a budget-conscious holiday near the coast. For entertainment and activities, the hotel’s location and photo gallery offer ideas beyond the room. The presence of a billiard area and a game room concept in the image collection hints at light hearted recreation for evenings in, while moments on the promenade provide plenty of options for outdoor fun. The sand, the sea and the nearby Pleasure Beach ensure plenty to do for guests who want a busy or a relaxed schedule. Connectivity is straightforward with WiFi available in all areas and free of charge. Parking is free in a nearby roadside location, though reservations are not possible. The property also notes a pet policy that restricts animals, so guests with furry companions should plan accordingly. The check in times allow a friendly arrival window in the afternoon and an early check out offers a simple end to a seaside stay. Ocean Bay is an ideal fit for budget minded families, couples seeking a coastal escape and travelers who value proximity to the beach and Blackpool’s attractions. If you want a simple, hospitable base where sea views, a comfortable bed and a welcoming bar are the main features, this hotel delivers without pretension.
