Guest Reviews
Sabrina was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We would go back again and recommend the hotel to friends and family. It is in an ideal location with a short walk into the city.
We liked the location..it was easy and quick to walk into the own centre..about 8/10 mins. We liked our room which looked out over the city walls with s view of York minster. We loved the breakfast..all cooked perfectly. We loved the family...so hospitable.

A lovely stay at The Barbican House Guest House. Wonderful hospitality, spotlessly clean and a very good breakfast. We selected this guest house to visit The Barbican and it is literally a two minute walk away. We will most definitely use this guest house again and recommend.
Durga was a great host - very friendly and lots of good local knowledge, very welcoming to the city!

Perfect location for the city which is beautiful also very clean and friendly owner
The location was ideal and was just a couple of minutes walk away from the York Barbican. Durga was very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was lovely
Very clean, welcoming staff, free parking and close proximity to the Barbican Theatre.
Lovely breakfast though a little expensive unless you are hungry enough to eat both cereal and cooked breakfast. Pre ordering not really convenient as things can change. But food was very tasty and well cooked. As for the guest house, it was perfect. Great location, super comfortable big bed with quality bedding. Parking free is a bonus but very tight for space. Public car park 50 yes away behind Chinese restaurant £14 a day. Good value if you are stuck for on street parking. Finally, lovely friendly host who is very helpful.
The host family made us feel like valued guests. Our room was on the small side but very comfortable. The bed was fine and the bathroom was very clean. Location was accessible to all the sites by a 10 minute walk.B
It was clean and the owners were nice.
It was clean, with a bad created for deep and refreshing sleep. I also was admired by authentic interiors. Staff were very nice.
