Easy booking, arrival, access and communication. Parking via street permit was also easy. Comfortable stay in a very well kept guesthouse. Breakfast was excellent - choice and quality. Helen was always available if required.

We had a lovely stay here. It's a short walk to the city centre. Tasty breakfast and a range of options. All rooms are well decorated. And there's clearly been a lot of thought put into decorating the rooms with useful facilities for travelling/making the rooms aesthetically pleasing. All staff were friendly too

The breakfast was very tasty, good value for money. Helen the host was very welcoming, short distance from York about a 10 minute walk. The room was clean, bed comfortable, really enjoyed our stay at The Farthings Guest House.

The hotel is in a great location, in walking distance to the city centre. Hotel very clean and comfortable. The size of the room was really big, slept well in the very comfy king size bed, the hotel was also nice and quiet. Rooms are beautifully decorated, there was a fridge, microwave & a big screen telly also all the little essentials you need. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of food. Staff were very friendly, helpful & approachable. Nice environment with free parking for the guests. Exceptional service.

Thanks to the superb hospitality of Helen, I highly recommend staying with her. The breakfast was a good start of the day. From the Farthing the centre of York and the National Railway Museum are on walking distance. With a parking permit of Helen, I could park my car as close as possible to the front door.

Perfectly located, just far enough out of the town, that you're not affected by noise, but only a short 15-minute walk. It has parking, which seemed to be a novelty in York. Our host was lovely and cooked up a storm for breakfast with many different options for breakfast and all locally sourced, which is nice.
