Guest Reviews
Central, historic and quirky. Beautifully furnished.
Stunning room and fantastic location. We have stayed here before in the st Catherine’s and lady peckett’s room and experienced ghostly goings on. We were in the Minster suite this time no spirits this time except a few rum and cokes. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious can’t wait to stay again.
Very quirky, friendly staff, amazing fish & chips , the room was lovely and clean .
Exceeded my expectations. Great rooms. Huge bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Close to everything we wanted to visit. Will definitely be back.
We loved the history and the atmosphere of the hotel, we had a great stay with comfortable beds and a tasty well cooked breakfast.
Everything! Hauntingly beautiful.. the room I was in the shambles was simply stunning. Lovely cosy pub downstairs and live music every night. Super location. Opposite the shambles x
It was quirky especially due to its age and history. Apparently ghosts abound but we did not meet one.
Very friendly staff and also guests, ideal location and very clean 👌
Great pub/inn.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spotless and had a quirky design that made it feel unique compared to standard hotel rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed and very convenient for getting around. Breakfast was also a highlight with plenty of delicious options to start the day. Overall, a great stay with charm, comfort, and excellent service. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily return!
It had the quirkiness and history we looked for and was in an excellent location… Overlooking the shambles. Loved the extra lounge and bathroom also added small extras added to the venue. The bar was great with excellent selection of beers and good value food options …live music was a bonus which we enjoyed…..
Great location, clean room, and very comfortable bed. Nice Shower and complimentary shower gel etc. Atmospheric decor in the room with popular pub downstairs, there was no noise from below when we got settled. Helpful staff. Ghost free night unfortunately.
Beautifully presented, excellent location and lovely staff. Will definitely come back.
It is a great location
Unfortunately some random women from the public not a guest walked in to our bedroom a little disturbed at this with my partner recently just getting out the shower things could of gone a lot worse
Everything was amazing but sadly I left early around 1130pm spooky goings on so I went home couldn't handle it 🙃
Breakfast had a good choice as my partner is a vegetarian, well cooked, great service and staff
The atmosphere was wonderful. We stayed in the best room on the third floor. This was reported to be haunted, although did not get to see any ghosts, but the atmosphere was fabulous.
The accommodation exceeded my expectations. I loved the quirkiness of the hotel and our room which was directly oposite The Shambles. Make sure you ask for a room fronting the street.
Excellent room, loved the decor. Nice big telly in the room, nice to have a nespresso machine! Bed was very comfortable.
