Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and spectacular the place was — every detail was perfect. The room was stunning, spotless, and so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave! A special shoutout to Richard, our amazing host. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and entertained us with some truly wonderful stories. His warmth and personality made our stay even more memorable. Honestly, this was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a place that’s both luxurious and full of charm, this is the one. We can’t wait to come back!
Lovely host and breakfast
The most beautiful hotel the room was fabulous 4 poster bed most comfortable thank you 😊
Richard, the host was highly entertaining, informative and extremely kind. We loved the little touches like wine and biscuits in the room and the breakfast choices were absolutely fantastic. It was also good to be able to park and then walk into Bath to enjoy one of the walking tours with our small dog.
I was very impressed with the villa. It looks exquisite and is charged with history.
Very interesting property and really comfortable beds. Owner was super helpful and spot on with the tips and advice he gave us.
Richard is a master storyteller and exemplary host. His home was amazing...
The grosvenor villa was a fabulous place to stay. The location is perfect. To get into the main city, you can walk along the canal, which is wonderful. The room was exquisite, and its like staying in Dalton Abbey with its luxurious decor. Richard the host is a fun-loving character with lots of stories.. We highly recommend staying here, a very cultural experience.
Room decor was nice, bathroom.was nice, host was really nice and enjoyed breakfast anecdotes
A beautiful characterful villa with a homely feel. Our host was very welcoming and helped us in several ways including booking a taxi for the wedding we were going to and highlighting local walks and activities for the next day. Breakfast was wonderful and made all the more enjoyable in such a gracious setting. Comfortable bed and lovely and quiet. I would thoroughly recommend
Excellent welcome from a very charming and interesting gentleman, Richard . The Villa was full of history and period furniture , paintings etc. very clean and comfortable lacked for nothing a place to chill and relax in such comfortable surroundings nice big garden . Dogs made so welcome.
Beautiful, historic property with lots of interesting items in it, situated on the outskirts of Bath in a great location. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable and beautifully furnished. We loved the Georgian dining room complete with lazy waiter. Richard the owner was an amazing host who had many fascinating and entertaining stories- he really goes the extra mile for his guests. Outside the house is a bus stop for easy access to Bath. Larkhall village opposite is worth a visit, some lovely cafes and pubs.
Exceptional breakfast like going back in time to Downtown Abbey! Plentiful and a wonderful setting with the chance to chat to other guests. Richard is a delight full of amusing stories and very welcoming, helpful, polite, a real gentleman. Room was spacious with a super large comfy bed and loads of character. The mini bottles of wine 🍷 were a lovely touch and much appreciated.
Everything was amazing. The host, the house, the room, the breakfast. It far exceeded our expectations. Close to town and just perfect.
This property was definitely full of old English charm and history. Richard was an excellent host, making us feel very comfortable and filling us in on the history of the house and surrounding area. The accommodation had everything we required and Richard provided us with an excellent continental breakfast.
The walk to city center was beautiful along the canal. The owner of the property was very welcoming, breakfast was served with wonderful conversation. Honestly a perfect night and morning.
Excellent host, beautiful property eclectic collection of antiquities. Amazing breakfast, crisp fresh linen.
Generous, accomodating and interesting host. Amazing property with interesting and unique history. Rooms are spacious, have large comfortable beds, original artworks, bountiful refreshments incl wine as well as tea and biscuits. Breakfast is fresh and plentiful. Location ideal for a walk into centre via the canal. A great place to stay with or without a furry friend. With a dog worth noting that there are tall walls enclosing the garden giving peace of mind. Highly recommend!
Everything
Richard is a perfect host. As two women booking into a double room, we are never quite sure what to expect when booking a smaller place, but Richard quickly and subtly made us feel very at ease. The service at breakfast was exceptional - the breakfast was mainly cereal, yoghurt, and toast, but the one dining room where all guests meet for breakfast added a really intimate personal touch, and we really looked forward to breakfast each day! Our private bathroom was very modern and had everything we needed - including side jets in the shower, a dreamy experience! I also proposed to my partner on this trip and Richard ensured we had an ice bucket and champagne waiting in the room on our return. We would definitely return here and are already planning a post wedding return to update Richard on how the wedding went!
