Great stay at Holly Lodge - location was perfect and the added bonus of a private car park. Geoff was a fabulous host....would highly recommend.

Quiet location

Very friendly staff gave us lots of great recommendations around York. Room was comfortable, and cosy. Very nice to walk into the center along the river, and nice nearby breakfast options.

This is our second time staying. Great location with parking! It’s a beautiful building with more traditional rooms. Geoff and Ashley are amazing hosts who provide lots of helpful information so you can get the most out of your stay in York. Sad to hear they may be retiring so make sure you stay while you can!

Location was super for exploring the city.

The location was perfect for exploring the city, and the host was friendly and very helpful, telling us various places to go as we had never visited the city before. The off-road parking was a bonus, as the streets surrounding the property were really quite busy.

Room comfy and mostly clean...a bit dusty. Bathroom clean but could do with a refit. Shower slow and floor uneven in places

I loved that the owners were so friendly and polite. Had a lot of knowledge about the area and lots of recommendations. The location is so close to the center without being directly in it and without the crazy prices of the centre. The walk along the river was so lovely it's peaceful and takes 15 mins at a very slow pace. Would highly recommend and already planning our next trip will defiantly be staying here if the rooms are free.

We really enjoyed our stay at Holly Lodge. The owners were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

Wonderful, comfortable room, in a great location...a beautiful 15 mins walk along the riverside, and you're in York centre. Jeff, (I hope that's right) our host was fantastic, and extremely helpful. Will be the first place I look to stay again, when we return. Muchos gracias ❤️

It was a lovely place, felt like a nice house more then a hotel! In a brilliant location, a 7 minute walk from town centre with some lovely pubs and a Wetherspoons down the road. The host was so lovely and welcoming showed us round and was always happy to help!
