Check-in was easy with a very friendly, helpful receptionist who even showed me to my room. The room was very swish, with a mezzanine floor. The hotel location couldn't be better. It is a short walk from the railway station, a nice easy walk into the city centre through the glorious Micklegate and even closer to The Crescent - the community centre and music venue, where I went to see The Birthday Massacre playing.

Great hotel, food was exceptional, and so were the staff. I was a bit unhappy with the room because some things didn't work, plus some fittings were hanging off. But that said I'm being very pickey as I paid a lot of money and felt it should have been exceptional through out. That said I would go again so don't let my comments put you off. It was a great place to stay

Regularly stay here when I visit my daughter in York. It has a fantastic location, is near the train station, has plenty of parking, and the staff are all welcoming, friendly and professional.

Hotel Du Vin in York is a great place to stay for dinner, bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable and all staff were professional, attentive and friendly, The hotel was easy to find and onsite car parking was great.

Extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful staff! Good location - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go to explore. Had dinner from the Bistro and it was excellent. Good sized, quiet room and the heated bathroom floor was a nice touch.

Room large, quiet and very cosy. Breakfast excellent, freshly prepared. Ate at the Bistro at night and had a roast beef dinner which was one of the best I have ever had. Service was great and staff friendly and welcoming going above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. Will certainly return to this country house style hotel in a city location.
