Guest Reviews
So cosy! We were in room 12 (very top) which overlooks Museum Gardens. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Radiator was strong, so we were lovely and warm.
Everything went well
The staff were welcoming, personable, and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean We asked for an additional blanket, and it was ready in our room There was a well stocked fridge, although the items were very expensive
Location within walking distance to town Clean and homely feel Excellent breakfast in bed
The location was great- near the Minster and easy access to the town through the museum gardens.
The location was perfect, the hotel was beautiful, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The best part of the hotel was for sure the staff! Both ladies working in the reception were so helpful and nice. Due to a mistake with the cleaning of our room they provide us with free breakfast and a bottle of nice proseco. It is wonderful to see how people could turn a mistake to an even better experience for a guest. Thank you again for everything :)
Lovely boutique hotel, spacious and very attractive room and bathroom. Good location for sight seeing.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and well stocked. Lovely views from the loft room.
Large room, excellent facilities friendly helpful reception staff clean room, comfy large bed great value for money
I loved this guest house, the location, the amenities and the staff were very welcoming and helpful with their suggestions. I would highly recommend Jorvik House when visting York.
Super cosy, well stocked mini bridge with so many options. Complimentary coffee was delicious and staff were very nice. It’s definitely a place you want to spend your York getaway at.
Very clean and luxurious. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in. Reception and room were very well decorated with everything you could need for your stay
We have stayed here several times & it is a great location for walking there from the railway station & very near to York. The team are very friendly & the room is stylish & comfortable.
Lovely small hotel in a fantastic location just behind the museum gardens. Short walk from the city centre but very quiet. No parking on-site but the Marygate carpark is just behind the hotel and is pretty good value for 24 hours. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. The room was a good size with two comfy single beds and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room lighting was very well designed with a dimmable main light(s), independent bedside lights and a soft nightlight behind the headboard of the beds. The curtains were proper blackout curtains, there was an exceedingly well stocked mini bar / fridge, the heating was easily controlled and the windows opened. Everything was spotlessly clean and there were bins in both the bedroom and the bathroom.
Location was great, quiet part of the city but a 5-10 minute walk through a park to get to the centre.
Lovely individual hotel, great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
The location was brilliant Very convenient and close to the center of town without being to noisy/ busy We really enjoyed how close it was to the mesuem gardens The bed was comfortable and the room & decor were cosy
Very central
Loved the comfort and style, staff were exceptionally friendly
Members of staff were incredibly helpful and friendly for my stay, the room was comfortable and incredibly tidy, property is close to the train station and is only a ten minute walk into the city centre.
