It was a lovely building with a very comfortable room with all the amenities you need. There was excellent sustainability with refillable bottles of water and milk along with soap and shampoo. They were very accommodating to our dog. The chef at breakfast was very good and accommodated dietary requirements well showing good knowledge and care. The hotel was extremely clean.

This grade II listed building is extremely well kept with I suspect much of the original work in place. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated and well appointed. The staff were very friendly, could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was exceptional in terms of quality, presentation and quantity! Couldn’t fault it.

Good location near the centre of the city which was well presented and clean. Very nicely presented with high specification. Very much dog friendly with a toy provided and dog biscuits and water in the room on arrival. Also a nice big dog bed which our dog loved!

Good parking area. Nice location. Within walking distance of the centre.

Stewart 8.0

Very helpful staff, the radiator didn't work in our original room and they very quickly organised another room and helped us move. The location was great for the Railway Museum and a bus stop just outside provided a quick service into the city.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Our suite was amazing and the fact that we could bring our dog was even better. The hotel had a bed ready for her with bowls and food. She even had her own sausages for breakfast. The breakfast we had was the best one I have had in a long while. Staff were very friendly and helpful I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
