The staff were very friendly and engaging. The location was close to the city and the train station. I thoroughly enjoyed the full English breakfast and the staff always offered more toast or tea or anything else you would like. You could check in at 1 o’clock and you could leave your bags at the property after checking out.
An excellent place with great access to the city, either by a stroll along the river or through the lovely park. The staff are fabulous. The level of cleanliness is incredible! Parking is available and safe. We love this rather old-fashioned charming guest house.
Everything about my stay was exceptional. From the breakfast, to my room, to the staff! More than anything, the staff are some of the warmest and kindest people I've ever met. They made it all so much better just by being so kind.

The room was comfortable and clean, location was excellent, breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It couldn't be easier to check in and out. It's a very short and easy walk into the city centre, and the street the guesthouse is on is lovely, and quiet. I would recommend this place to my friends, and I'll definitely be staying here again!

Near to the town. Staff are so friendly. They make you feel well come to their guest house. This was the second time we stayed, and we will stay again. But they booked up the time we would like.

St Mary's is in the perfect location, close enough to the city centre but in a quiet, leafy area. It's situated just a few minutes walk to the river and museum gardens. Caroline and her team provided a very comfortable, clean, warm and friendly place to stay. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Every small detail has been taken care of down to the small pair of scissors provided with the sachets of sauce which can be difficult to open. Parking opposite the property at £12 50 per night seemed reasonable. Would stay again and highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home . We were met by Abby who showed us to our room and gave us all the info we needed to make our visit to York an enjoyable one . The room and facilities were excellent and a very comfy bed . Breakfast was great and a good selection. Highly recommend this guest house 🏠..the location is also excellent ,an easy scroll along the river gets u into the heart of the city .
