The Old Potting Shed

Its was a lovely place. About 15 min drive into York. Very clean and well kept. Lovely bathroom and bed was so comfy. Also the little breakfast hamper was great.

Breakfast was great. A good variety and nice coffee! Great easy walking track close by.

The attention to detail, all down to the excellent hosts Margie and Nick. The property is very private and detached, and a lovely breakfast was brought over in a hamper very discretely and at your requested time. Private patio. Really sets the standard.

Beautiful private relaxing place with beautiful surroundings. We had a lovely stay and the potting shed has everything you need for a short stay and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We walked to the park and ride along an old cycle path which was a lovely walk of around 2 miles and took less than an hour. Nick & Margie were lovely hosts and just left you to it and were on hand if you wanted anything. We would highly recommend if you were visiting bustling York.

Spotless, comfortable bed, good size, good location, great host

margie was so welcoming the place was spotless clean and to a very high standard everywhere and the breakfast was really lovely brought to you each morning in a lovely basket with lovely fresh hot coffee fresh orange juice hot toast croissants fresh fruit etc everything you could possibly want to start the day amazing I cannot say enough how lovely the place was we had such a relaxing lovely stay nothing was to much trouble we would definitely love to stay again thank you so much for making us feel so welcome

We arrived at the property with a warm welcome. Our room was beautiful, very clean and homely, had everything we needed and more. The breakfast was lovely, we had a choice of everything and delivered to the door each morning it was a really lovely gesture. Highly recommend we really enjoyed our stay!

The couple was absolutely lovely and so helpful! The breakfast was beautiful and so fresh. The place was absolutely spotless and the bathroom was to die for! We had a slight issue with the tv but within 2 minutes Nick came around and fixed it straight away! We would definitely stay again! 1000%

The whole stay was amazing, the property is just beautiful, the bed is so comfy , the bathroom is awesome. The area is brilliant , close to the designer outlet and 15 mins from York. 2 mins walk to pub. The hosts were so friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was a real treat , I highly recommend this amazing place and will be back very soon.

Excellent location and exceptionally clean! Everything you could possibly need for a short stay, including breakfast (at your preferred time) which came in a beautiful basket at the door. A real credit to the owners, Nick and Margie.

Our two-night stay at The Old Potting Shed was the lodging highlight of our 3 weeks in Great Britain! The unit was immaculate, the amenities were high quality, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners were very friendly! We truly felt like valued guests!
