Everything
The decor, ambiance, and exceptional hospitality. It was the quintessential british experience, exactly what I was hoping for.
This felt like staying somewhere royalty stayed but not pretentious. We were welcomed, bags sorted and communication was fantastic. Room was amazing and location if you're in for a walk around London, is perfect. Didn't have breakfast but was nice having a nightcap in the bar after a day of touristy stuff. Stunning place.
I have just returned from a 2 night stay with mu daughter to celebrate her turning 10. The trip was made even more special by staying in this hotel. I had mentioned it was a birthday in my booking note, and we arrived to balloons and a banner in the room, which my daughter was just thrilled about. We also had a birthday card, and a birthday dessert was delivered to the room that evening. She felt like a princess. The room (classic double) was small but beautiful and comfortable. We had a bathtub and shower, and everything was lovely and clean. The bed was really comfortable, and the blinds and curtains shut out all light which is something I am picky about as I need total darkness to sleep. The food in the bar was good, if expensive, but that's London. The staff are exceptional. Each and every person we encountered couldn't do enough for us, and were so kind and friendly. Special mention to James. We struggled to get a cab the first night as the rain and wind were too wild to walk in, and one of the door men who's name I didn't get went out of his way to go out and get a taxi on the road in appalling weather for us. Location is ideal, as it is lovely and quiet but a short walk and you're on Oxford street. I just had coffee in the mornings the restaurant was a lovely setting, busy but with plenty of staff. I will most definitely come back. There's lots right with this hotel but the secret is definitely the staff who all seem to genuinely like what they do.
The hotel is wonderful example of old fashioned charm and service. The rooms are cozy, well appointed and fully featured. Great location.
Exceptional customer service! Very clean rooms. Wonderful location.
Location and the interior that takes you back in time to a gilded age of grace and manners. The staff is amazing, smoked maple old fashioned was delicious while listening to live saxophone. Full breakfast is a must and is better than anything you will find out!
Beautiful public areas and a comfortable room
Room was very nice, but like everywhere we went this trip, not enough electric outlets. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Location near British Museum
The staff are super friendly and the location is great
My husband and I had a marvelous stay at the Montague Gardens. The Bedford Suite is so charming and comforting. The staff, so well trained, so correct. Excellent Location if you are going to drop off your kids in College.
