Guest Reviews
This is a wonderful hotel and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a suite which was amazing. The hotel is in a great location near Farringdon tube and Smithfield, a very buzzy and historic area. it is in a lovely old building decorated with a lot of character and taste. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are lovely public spaces including a library and conservatory and the suite we had was huge and very comfortable and luxurious
We loved everything. Our room and the hotel were amazing, the overall atmosphere very relaxing, welcoming, luxurious and characterful, the staff were lovely and couldn’t have been nicer, the breakfasts were delicious. We went for a special occasion; our stay was a real treat and everything we could have hoped for. Thank you so much!
staff fabulous and so so clean - loved it
Gorgeous decor in Georgian building - like stepping back in time, very comfortable bed (slept v well), 24 hour reception, very clean and warm, nice breakfast in room
Location, staff and ambiance were fantastic. Rooms were of high quality, interesting and comfortable
It was perfectly situated for my purposes, characterful and comfortable
Everything. The staff, the decor, the home-from-home, the old world luxury.
Comfortable Bed. Quiet room. Decor and overall unique vibe. Honor Bar in sitting room.
Loved this gem Of a hotel . Staff very welcoming . Cant wait to Stay again
It’s very well done, feels quintessentially British and is a great spot to stay
Excellent historical property. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Rooms very quiet even though right on the street. So much like old London. So much better than a big generic hotel. Very easy to get to many attractions. We will stay here again next time we visit London.
Amazing ambiance. Something distinctly different from a standard hotel. Will be back
It's quirkiness and cosiness
Room was a little too dark. Difficulty seeing! Missed having a shower!
Charming, cozy. Bed super comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.
A well furnished and comfortable room and hotel. There were really nice little thoughts like the provision of a usb-c charger. We had a very comfortable night's stay and would love to stay again. All staff were very friendly.
In a world where most hotels go for that minimal, modern look… this place has a charm you just can’t find anywhere else! It’s a true Londoner building, and stepping inside feels like walking into a little museum. The antiques, the paintings, the bed frames full of detail, even the statues dotted around the hotel—it’s absolutely stunning! A special shoutout to the lovely lady at reception with the Romanian accent…..she was amazing! So friendly, professional, and full of great recommendations. Honestly, the whole team there was fantastic. For the first time staying in London, we didn’t feel like “just guests”… it really felt personal. We’ll definitely be back!
It has so much character, and the boutique feel is lovely. The in-room breakfast feels luxurious, and the staff is so friendly.
