The guest house itself was lovely and comfortable but the really amazing thing about this stay was the reception and overall experience. The owner received us personally, talked us through the stay, helped us to advance order our breakfast, and even gave us tips on how best to experience York. So many aspects of the stay were homemade, customized and well thought-out which resulted in an overall bespoke-feeling experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Monk Bridge House. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was out of this world with a different special every morning! Great location with an easy walk to the old town. I highly recommend!

Paul and Fiona were very nice couple who run this place with good recommendation of the attractions and restaurants. I could see they put a lot of love into this place. It was a very lovely guest house with everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful with so many choices to choose from. The room was good insulated that we could sleep so nicely at night. Walkable location to everywhere in York city centre. Parking spot is free of charge. We would definitely visit this place again if we would be in York
