Guest Reviews
Nice little room with neutral decor, nice hot shower, bed was comfy. In my opinion that's all you need for a couple of nights away ( tea /coffee also.). We also enjoyed a few drinks in the pub also on both nights they had quiz thursday night and a singer on Friday night. I was told they have only recently taken over the pub so I do wish them all the best. We would definitely return.
Nice quiet location. Only 20 minutes walk to the town centre. Room has all the facilities you needed. Perfect for a short stay. The pub below had super friendly staff. Made us feel very welcomed.
The room was clean and tidy and had everything you need
The room was clean. Good value for money.
Easy 20 minute walk to the city centre. Friendly staff.
The room was exactly what I expected & well worth the price: small, had everything I needed including a hair dryer, ironing board and iron, private bathroom & bed to sleep. It was perfect for my stay. I walked almost one mile to get to the city center which is an easy walk I enjoyed. There is a bar downstairs which can be a little loud sometimes but I liked it! If you have issues sleeping with noises, it's not the place for you but it's exactly what you would expect with the great low price! The stairs leading to the rooms are a fire escape. It is not the place for everyone but my room was great for solo travelers & the price matched with what I got & I had a great stay! It's also safe with a small grocery store nearby & a bar/restaurant right downstairs.
Staff friendly. Rooms clean and cosy. Beds comfortable
This is the crunch point, going by your advert for this pub we we're expecting to get breakfast but this was not the case, we had to go to a cafe some distance away.not good.
Bed was comfortable. Had a tv that worked well. Modern furniture. Clean space. Extras provided, like shower gel, shampoo, biscuits and tea and coffee and kettle. Landlady was very welcoming and helpful, mentioned she only has had the property for a couple months, refurbishment is planned. Pub downstairs was lovely and not too noisy. Parking behind the pub is free and there are available spaces right next to the rooms. Location is alright. 30 min walk from city centre.
