Guest Reviews
The hotel’s location was excellent—close to the airport, well connected by public transport with a bus stop directly outside, and situated in a safe area with plenty of nearby shops, pubs, and services. It’s on the main road both from the airport and into the city centre, with travel time in to the city centre of less than twenty minutes by bus. All of the staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The carvery offered superb food at very good prices, and the inclusive cooked breakfast was excellent and well worth having. The room was spacious, easy to access after reception hours, comfortably warm, and equipped with good amenities. The shower was piping hot and well stocked with toiletries. I am not sure about the hotel rooms themselves, but the main bar area is dog friendly, with a dedicated station for dogs containing water, dog treats and a blanket, I thought this was a really nice touch.
Staff were friendly and helpful, always said hello. Comfortable bed and cozy room.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was excellent — there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so it was very easy to get anywhere in the city. Edinburgh also has a great and very user-friendly app for buses and trams, which made getting around even simpler. The hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. After exploring the city each day, we always returned to a nicely cleaned room. The blackout curtains were a big plus — the room stayed perfectly dark, which made for a very comfortable sleep. PS: We definitely recommend visiting the National Museum of Scotland — it’s beautiful, very well designed, and it’s hard to believe that the entry is completely free!
