The Reception staff were very welcoming. Our beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. There’s a hop on/off bus stop just across the road which we would recommend. Our room was cleaned by friendly staff.

Location was near the castle. Pool (small) was great for an afternoon break for the kids. Staff were very accommodating at reception when I pre paid for breakfast but sadly didn’t feel well enough to eat, they refunded with a smile. That was greatly appreciated. I didn’t see this advertised but we got a child’s dinner for free in the restaurant as we were hotel guests. That was a nice surprise & appreciated.

When we arrived we were upgraded to a castle view family room. Beautiful view of Edinburgh Castle. Large room. Good facilities. Close enough to centre.

The room location was at the bac of the hotel so wasn't exactly quiet as your could hear trolley being pushed around the car park and car doors banging etc and there were also children in a room close by who were very noisy but the location itself was ideally situation in the old town part of Edinburgh

Location was the best part of this hotel! Right in the heart of the Grass Market area. Nicely designed room was large with lots of storage space for luggage and belongings. Bed was comfy. Room was very cute. Loved the water bottle refill stations in the hallways.
