The curtains that covers the bunk. It made it private, cozy and cool. No disturbance from the room lighting. The beds are bigger than the normal single bed. Spacious and comfy.

Great location when arriving into York by train, and far enough away from the busy parts of York for the evening. Filled with small histories and plaques about the home in general, adding to the aesthetic of it being an old mansion. Extremely good value for money, as I ended up paying roughly 10 pounds per night I stayed. Reception being available 24/7 is also a highlight for late arrival travellers.
