Sunset ATV Tour: Two Hours in the Valleys of Cappadocia

The valleys of Cappadocia show their best colours in the hours before sunset. This sunset ATV tour spends two hours exploring hidden corners of the valleys and catching the sunset from scenic viewpoints, with a professional guide leading the way.

How the tour runs

The adventure starts about two hours before sunset, and you are collected from your hotel 30 minutes before the tour begins. Before setting off you are given a helmet, a safety briefing and a consent form to sign. Your professional guide stays with the group for the whole ride.

Photo stops

There are four photo stops along the route: Rose and Red valleys, Sword Valley, the old village of Çavuşin and Love Valley. The rocks of Red Valley glow red and orange at sunset, and the tall fairy chimneys of Love Valley look their best in the evening light, so keep your camera within easy reach.

Safety first

Because the valleys are full of hills and rocks, drifting is not allowed: the aim of the tour is to show you the beauty of Cappadocia safely. It is not recommended for travellers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health or pregnant travellers. At least a moderate level of fitness is needed, and children under 10 cannot take part.

Practical tips

When booking, remember to give your hotel name and the full names of everyone in your party. The trails are dusty, so bring sunglasses and wear closed shoes, plus a light jacket for the cooler air after sunset. You are dropped back at your hotel at the end of the tour.
